What time of day do you feed your pet?

We feed Kanga around 7:30pm but just lately she's been waking me a few times a night (hence writing this at 3:16am) to go to the bathroom. My baby sleeps through the night why doesn't my furbaby!

We're not home during the day so I'm afraid she'll go in the house if we feed her in the AM. What do you do?

Misty gets two cups of food a day...one in the morning after her walk and one at night as soon as DH or I get home (anywhere between 6 and 7:30). We make sure we let her out around midnite so we can sleep through the night.

In the morning at 600am after I let them out. I put wee wee pads down during the day so if they go, they go...

one cup in the AM, one cup in the PM (no later than 7pm)

Between 5 and 5:30 in the morning and then dinner is around 5:30

At 6am, she gets fed and we take her out around 7am and she does her numbers.

I come home at 12pm and feed her, and she'll go by 12:30pm/12:45pm

DH comes home from work by 5pm and starts to feed her and she does her numbers by 7pm.

Rudy get's 3 cups a day. We feed him in the morning.

He eats so strange though. It will sit there all day. He picks at it. But he's been doing it since he was a puppy

We feed Flipper (cat) twice a day - 8 AM and 6PM. Though we usually give her a "midnight snack" when we go to bed - usually just a few nuggets- b/c when we first got her she'd be up at 3am jumping around and crying. this usually helps to stop that.

Feed my cat when I wake up- so on weekends it's much later than the weekdays!
And again when i get home from work- or on the weekends- 6 pm.

The dogs get fed in the morning before we leave (around 6-6:30AM) and at night sometimes they eat before us, sometimes after ... so anywhere between 5:30-7PM.


ETA: I am up EVERY night to let one of them out but he's older and has been having issues (he also wears a diaper and still leaks through or poops in his sleep sometimes )

We leave her food out, but she only will eat twice a day, once in the morning when we get up, and then at night, usually right after DH and I finish dinner.

I have two small Yorkies, so I feed them 1/2 cup each, two times a day.


1/2 cup each at 6am

1/2 cup each between 4-6pm, depending on when dh and I get home from work.

We have two cats. We feed them 2X a day....7am & 7:30pm

I feed her in the AM but she never eats her food until late at night--so I really only give her 1/2 a cup a day.

8am after his first walk and dinner between 6-7. We take him for a long walk after dinner everynight, followed by a quick walk at 10pm. That's his last walk for the night.

KC sits on my head around 5:30am and he is about 20 pounds..a cat. I get up and feed them.

they also get fed again when we come home.

We are reminded by our cats at 7 am and again at 6 pm - like clockwork- to feed them. Seriously, they'll either scratch at or headbutt the bedroom door until there is food in their dishes or just sit in front of us and meow at those times, and NOT STOP until they've been fed. Mind you, they could each live off their own fat for a couple of days and be none the worse for wear.

I have 2 dogs and a cat and they "free" feed. I leave dry food for them all time. They dont eat wet food.

Our Pomeranian barely eats ever. She has the worst eating habbits.

Her 1/4 cup is usually put down for her breakfast around 8. We leave it there till 10 and then whatever she hasn't eaten (usually most of it) gets saved for dinner.

Dinner (1/4cup) is served around 6ish when I get home from work and I'll leave it down until 7. Then whatever is eaten will be put towards breakfast the next day.

And so on, and so on.

we feed all three in the morning when we get up...so during the work week around 6:30
Jessi gets 1 cup as does Morgan
Riley gets 1/2 cup

They get Milkbones when they finish

then they are all feed again at 5 pm
again
Jessi and Morgan get 1 cup
Riley gets 1/2

Milkbones follow


then around 7 they get treats

during the week...our cat gets fed around 5:45am...on weekends later

She eats when she feels like it though- usually when DH or I are eatting.
