What size bed do you have?

My husband wants a new bed and he wants a King size. I want to keep the Queen, for 1. I already have a ton of sheets and bedding sets, and 2. I think its a perfect size for us and fits perfect in our new bedroom.

What made you choose the size of bed that you have?

We have a king, and love it. We went from a queen to a king when we bought our house, and it makes a huge difference. My DH likes a lot of room, and we are both greedy with our sleep space, so the king works out much better for us.

King. I need my space. He needs his space. I hate to feel warmth from another body. (its a wonder we have a kid). I could never go smaller at this point. We actually passed on a house because it would mean we would need a smaller bed to fit the master BR.

We went from a full to a king. We have the room for the king so we figured we should spend the $ now on it instead of going with a queen and then wishing we had the king later on. Also, we were told in the mattress store that the difference between the full and queen was only like 6 inches so we decided to go all in at that point!

I will say that the sheets for the king are seriously expensive! I didn't realize that before we bought it and consequently I haven't really bought anything nice for it yet. I was used to full sheet set prices and was at the prices for king bedding....

We have a queen but will eventually upgrade to a california king.

We have a King and although I like it because it's very roomy - I wish we had a queen. I feel like we would snuggle more with a queen.

We have a king thought I am more of a queen girl. I like to hang my feet of the sides of the bed and for some reason it feels easier in a queen. It also makes for more snuggling! Unfortunately this is a battle I will not win and we will stay with a king.

We have a King. We were in the same situation as you and DH won (he always wins b/c I'm a pushover).

It's fine though, I like it. It just made house hunting a little more difficult b/c we needed to find a house with big enough bedrooms.

We recently had the SAME discussion..I loved my Queen sheets, etc. that were not used very much since we got them for our wedding and didn't use them until we moved into the house..I didn't want to start over again- Buying a different bed is not just buying the bed! In the end, we bought a new queen and it's fine...I also think it looks right in our room...

King and yes we don't snuggle as much but our two kitties sleep with us and they love it.

King sheets and blankets are a fortune though.

Still love my king.

we have a king. There honestly was no other option since DH came from sleeping in a King alone...He doesn't share a bed very well, we both need space to sleep. Fortunately we have a big enough master for one

We have a Queen but will be upgrading to a King in a month or two.

We definitely need more room...we're always banging into each other in the middle of the night, LOL!

We have a Queen and would love a King. DH wants to buy one now, but I want to hold off til we decide about any renovations/dormering down the road. Plus, I'd like to buy a nice set with dressers, etc. I don't want to buy a new bed just to buy one. KWIM?

Queen-King seemed excessive, and probably wouldn't have fit in the apartment we lived in when we were first married.

Honestly, I was happy with a full (which my parents & grandparents had, so that is a 2 person bed to me), but it was too short for DH.

We have had a Queen bed for the past 5 years and I can't imagine going up to a King. When we go on vacation we always feel too far away from each other in a bigger bed. Neither one of us moves much at night so it has never been an issue of space for us.

We have a king and I wouldn't have it any other way. We are both pretty tall so it is nice to have the room.

we have a queen, our bedroom could easily fit a king but I like the queen size, we have room without being too far apart.

We have a king. The Hub wouldnt have it any other way. He likes to stretch out and is not a cuddler

We just purchased a new bedroom set and I tried to get him to get a queen so we would have more room in the bedroom but he wouldnt budge.

I do enjoy having it but I think its too big for the room

We had a queen for a while and just bought a king. It was more something I wanted though, being pregnant with #2 and having a toddler that comes into bed occasionally.

I LOVE it though.. we got a great mattress and I've never slept better. DH admits that he does too.. but it took him a little while to say it.

Our bedroom is def not big enough for it but we manage!

guess i am in the minority but i actually prefer the queen. it feels like the perfect size. when we stay in hotels with king beds it feels weird - like we're not even in the same bed.
