what kind of toys/books would you buy a 1st grader boy?
i'm completely lost...
We do this thing at work where we answer letters written to santa and we each get to pick an underprivileged child..
So far I bought him a jacket and a basketball and some candy to put in a stocking.
He asked for toys & books..

I agree, the boys in my 1st grade class love legos (any building toys), card games and play-doh. They also LOVE I Spy books.

My son was in first grade last year and all the boys loved the Magic Treehouse books.

Legos all the way. My nephew is in 2nd grade and one of the toys on his wishlist was a Lego set. An advanced set though, like building the helicopter or a ship...they'll love it!
