What kind gift do you give for a 1st Communion?
DH and I got invited to our friend's daughter's communion. I have never been to one before. what is an appropriate gift?

My family give Catholic things, crosses a bible etc. There is a store in Sayville right next to the Seacrest diner across from the church. I normally give money.

I was thinking of a small piece of jewelry for her. she's very "girley". I think she would probably get some crosses from her family. what do you think about a little gold angel or something like that on a necklace?

I saw a very cute Communion girl from Lenox at Fortunoffs a few weeks ago. That may be an idea as well. I can't remember how much it was though.
