Re: What items do you feel that you definitely needed 2 of?

Hmmm - they are one month tomorrow - so far I have definitely needed two bouncy seats, two Boppy pillows....I'm sure I can think of more, I will add to this post as I think!

They have been sleeping in the twin PNP since we brought them home. Make sure you register for a lot of cloth diapers as well - I got 3 of the 12-packs and that seems to be enough. Also the double Snap and Go is great.

I only have one swing, I wasn't sure if they would both like it so I got one and I figured if they both like it I'll get another.

Re: What items do you feel that you definitely needed 2 of?

-2 boppys are a must for me - i put them in that a lot

-double snap n go, although we only went for 1 walk so far it is something i know we will use

-like Carolyn said, a lot of cloth diapers to use as burp cloths! i also have 3 - 12 packs and I need to do laundry every other day

-i have 1 swing and 1 bouncy seat that I use now and rotate them. i have another bouncy i haven't opened yet but i think when they get bigger I will need the other one

-a lot of bottles!! i like to be able to wash them once a day and make a whole days worth and not have to worry about it.

-i got 2 bumbo seats, i used one all the time with DS so I know I will use the 2nd one

My babies are only 6 weeks so I haven't had to use too much yet. I have a regular pack n play I had from my son and I use that for them and they are fine in it for now. They are still under the weight limit and have plenty of room.

We use the cloth diapers as burp cloths and go through 12-16 a day.

Also agree about the bottles - I make one set (16) every morning and I think I have 20? so I'm not constantly cleaning them...we use Dr. Browns and they are great. Don't bother with the 2oz bottles, my boys were taking more than that after about a week and a half. Get the 4 ounce and then larger.

Ok so here is what I think.....

LOTS of bottles so you dont have to keep washing them....Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon We use Dr Browns and the kids have no gas issues

Binkies and get a few we always losing them.

2 Boppy pillows I love them and they are very handy to have

2 bouncy seats

I think you should get 2 swings I had 3 but returned 1 bc of lack of room and the kids love it

2 Pack N Plays

Thats all I can think of right now my brain is fried....

Yeah, I use the cloth diapers as burp cloths and go through them like crazy!!!!

I don't use them as diapers -- pampers for me Chat Icon

We use playtex drop-ins - and I have 18 bottles. I hate to have to wash them 2 or 3 times a day....I like to make one big batch of bottles in the morning. Especially now that they are getting on more of an eating routine, I know better how many to make and how much to put in them.

Re: What items do you feel that you definitely needed 2 of?

I have two carseats, two cribs and two portable high chairs. Everything else I just have 1 of, I didn't want to have too much stuff because we don't have tons of room. But what I have is more than enough. I agree about the bottles, I would do them at night and have them for the whole day, it makes life easier.

i love the bottle idea..

Yes - in the beginning we were waking to feed every three hours (per NICU and then our pediatrician) so that is 16 bottles a day. They are still on basically the same schedule except now they wake up on their own to eat every three hours or so Chat Icon Chat Icon . So after the 9 am feeding I wash/make/fill 16 bottles and set them up for the day so I don't have to think about it again until the next day.

ETA: I also registered for and got two highchairs - haven't used them yet obviously but I think we will definitely need two. Also, I only registered for one exersaucer, jumparoo and play mat. I figured I could rotate them a lot so they don't get bored...

I do think that I will probably get a second swing at some point, assuming they both like it.

Re: What items do you feel that you definitely needed 2 of?

The twin PNP has saved my life, it is a MUST IMO!

Boppys for sure and bouncers...although we dont seem to often use them at the same time, I think its good we do have them. We only use one swing ( though we have a travel one) b/c one baby doesnt like it as much.

Thats about all that we have 2 of.

eta- I also make a days worth of bottles. I happen to have 22 bottles and make those and it lasts me about a day and a half right now.

Re: What items do you feel that you definitely needed 2 of?

Def. 2 boppy pillows. I had a regular pnp and my boys stayed in the top bassinet together for a long time. I had 2 cribs but they actually slept in a co sleeper next to my bed in their carseats (I know you shouldn't have them sleep in their carseats but, they had bad reflux).

We started out with tons of dr. browns bottles. My boys had really bad gas and then a milk allergy and those bottles were not working for us. We tried so many but my boys liked different bottles. We now use Avent since about 4 months and they love them.

1 bouncy seat and infant to toddler seat.

I tried to do 2 diff. items so they wouldn't get too bored in the same thing. (ex: bouncy, rocker) I had 1 swing but ended up borrowing another from a friend.

2 highchairs. plenty of burp rags.

DIAPERS. . .I found that whenever somebody said what do you need afgter they were born I said DIAPERS. you go through a lot!!

Re: What items do you feel that you definitely needed 2 of?

First of all take as much from the hospital as you can...blankets, burp cloths, pacifiers. They also gave me diapers and formula but we were in the NICU.

I will just repeat what everyone else said..2 bouncy seats, 2 boppys, lots and lots of burp cloths.

Re: What items do you feel that you definitely needed 2 of?

i used 22 bottles, 2 PNP ( different floors) 2 cribs, 2 high chairs 2 car seats ( well 4 really), 2 swings, 2 bouncy seats, 2 mobiles everything else was shared.

2 double strollers + the snap and go but im not sure 3 strollers is really a necessity! I live in forest hills and walk lots of places so one was for the car, one for walks and the Snap n go we out grew quickly.

i only got one exersaucer but wow it was amazing to have!

i was fine with one boppy and i never used the bumbo seat.

Re: What items do you feel that you definitely needed 2 of?

I had 2 swings, 2 boppies, 2 bouncy seats, 2 cribs, 2 hampers, and lots of bottles. I live in a colonial so I had the swings downstairs in our family room and the bouncy seats upstairs in our bedroom. I also have a changing table upstairs in their nursery and one in our family room. I had the snap and go and can't say 1 bad thing about it. It was a huge help whenever I would go out. It made managing two babies a lot easier.

Re: What items do you feel that you definitely needed 2 of?

Now that my babies are 27 months, I think back to all of the stuff we had in amazement!

We had 2 bassinets, 2 cribs, 2 high chairs, 2 bouncy seats, 1 swing, 1 exersaucer, 1 PNP (but I had the twin PNP at my moms), floor mat (I think that is a waste)

But, my favorite of all was the snap-n-go. I live in the city so it was so convient to use! Loved it!

I also was not a big "outfit" person. I prefered the babies in those play stretchies (not pjs) but one piece cute things from carters. They just made life easier. One piece went one, one came off!

I also had 18 bottle (Playtex Advent Aire) Loved them!
