What is a good size for this type of earring?

Would you say 1/2 inch length is a bit small, and 3/4 is better? Does anyone have earrings like this? If so, how long are yours? I'm doing some extra grading/teaching in the fall and maybe I'll treat myself to a pair with the money I make.

i would probably stick with the 1/2 inch but only because i tend to wear smaller earrings. the 3/4 inch is a nice size too though (definitely not too big, i am just picky ).
