BAsically you put a certain % down and sign a contract that sstates what the purchase price would be. Then you rent it for the amount of time the lease says while you find financing. You then buy it at the agreed upon price.

I may be wrong....
But I believe it is when you rent someplace and either you have the option to buy it in the long run or you plan on buying it in the near future.
We rent to own, but it is nothing set in stone. If we decide we want to buy this house, we can, but we aren't locked into anything.

yeah cuz we dont know if we will want to buy. so many places we're looking at say "rent to buy". wasnt sure if we HAD to or not. thank you.
