What Age Did You Take Your DC In The Swimming Pool?
I'm thinking ahead for summer and not sure if she'll still be too little (I'm due May 1st).

My kids start at 2 months (swimming lessons)
ETA: they didn't start going under water till about 8 months

6 months. I was told no chlorine until then. I actually think she was 7 months when we were actually at a pool.

I know you're not supposed to use sunblock before 6 months, but I didn't hear anything about chlorine. You should ask your Dr. about that. Luca was born in October, so he'll be older for summer time, but if I had a baby in May I'm sure I would have them in the pool that summer.

Michael was 7 months old in a regular chlorine pool when we were on vacation.

This got me to thinking how do places like Safe T Swim and the like offer classes to babies then if they can't be in chlorine? Are their pools treated with something else?

Ella was born in late June, and was in the pool a few times last summer. Our pediatrician was fine with it. She wasn't really into it though, so she didn't do more than dip in and out, and I always bathed her right after so the chlorine didn't stay on her skin. (it was our private pool though - maybe they should be older for a public pool that lots of kids are in?)
This summer, I think she'll love it.

We went on vacation when DS was 5 months. Ped said that it was fine to take me in the pool. He also said that they now approve sunblock use after 3 months old. He told me to use Waterbabies.

No they are chlorinated. I have never heard that chlorine was bad. It is only 1/2 an hour and you shower them right after they are done (I do anyway).

Andrew was born May 25 and he did not go in all summer. The chlorine scared me. He will be 1yr+ when he first goes in.

I took Noah swimming when he was 3 months. I know that newborns do swimming classes so its pretty safe

My DS was born last May and I didnt bring him in last summer. My other kids were old enough when summer came but I felt he was too young.

I was due May 2nd. I had her may 10th. My sister has a pool and I was so tempted to bring her in, but I heard to avoid Chlorine for 6 months So I never took her in. I was afraid of a reaction from the chemicals since the skin is so thin. This summer will be her 1st time in the pool and I can not wait as you can see from my picture my sister got her a bikini so shes all prepared we just need the sun.

I took my ds at 5 or 6 months, but it was only because he was a winter baby so we had to wait for summer anyway.

DD was born May 2nd, we took her out pretty much right away, our PED told us we could use baby sunscreen right away since the benefits of suncreen far outweigh the risks by lots. Same with bug spray, we used the family/kids version.
She only went in baby pools with no chlorine, but has suncreen on everytime we were outside and bug spray if we were outside at dusk.
