Weight Gain - End of Pregnancy
Is it true that you gain the most weight at the end of the pregnancy?
My midwife said you actually gain the most from the middle to end of the second trimester.
I have always heard at the end you put on the most....?

You see the biggest numbers week to week in your second tri and then it kind of levels off.

It depends. I stopped gaining weight around week 27 and then the last few weeks of my pregnancy I packed on a TON of water weight. I had severe edema and it caused my to gain a lot but thankfully I lost it quick too. I had gained about 25lbs my whole pregnancy and those last weeks I added (no joke!!) 40lbs in water weight. Since coming home from the hospital 2 weeks ago I've already lost 48lbs and I'm within a few pounds of my pre-pregnancy weight. THANK GOD!!!!

So far this has been me...I'm very early on in my third tri, but I've noticed that I'm not gaining as consistently as I did in my second tri....

I'm all over the place. At my 32 week appointment I was down 5lbs. Today at 34 weeks I was up 2 for a total of 9. I have no idea what to expect at each appointment anymore!
