Warning TMI...regarding 19-20 month olds eating & pooping.
Ok, Grace has always been a good eater (she will eat veggies, fruits, whole grains, chicken, turkey, cheese, anything). She usually eats every 2.5-4 hours on a normal day. She usually poops 2-3 times a day. A good healthy poop.
Well yesterday and today she has been eating every 1-2 hours and pooping every two hours. Not diarrhea, just solid healthy poops. All of her pooping has resulted in a horrible diaper rash. I took her temp, it is normal. I have been feeding her healthy things. She only eats organic foods.
So far since 8AM she has eaten:
(2) Yo Baby yogurts w/cereal in it
(1) homemade whole grain blueberry pancake
(1) cup of whole milk
(1) handful of kashi heart to heart cereal
(1) handful of EB cheddar crackers
(1) cup of water
1/2 a jar of peas w/ brown rice
(1) cup of mac & cheese w/ carrots in it
It is now a little after 12 noon and she is napping. BTDT moms, what gives? Yesterday she ate so much food I am shocked. Should I call the ped? Is this normal? a growth spurt? i am really concerned. The last time she hit a growth spurt she ate more than normal, but NOTHING like this. We had a well visit at the time and the ped said to me that "enjoy her eating now, b/c once she turns about 2 1/2 she will not eat like this anymore".
What are your thoughts?

Sounds fine to me too. My 18m old poops endlessly and puts away serious food too. I sometimes cant believe how much food 3 kids under 5 scarf.

I know, when my boys get older I will need a second job to pay my grocery bill.
I think it is just a growth spurt......my boys eat a lot too.
