The full picture of this guy is so sinister; I hope he rots. But I'm sure the confession, in addition to giving him a potentially lighter sentence, also gives him leverage to serve his term in The Netherlands. Where his mommy can visit him. Sick POS that dude.

he beat the woman th death with a tennis racket for looking on his internet files? yeah--he didn't kill Natalie, nah, hes not a nutbag!
guaranteed his daddy flies there and the story changes to "I was forced to confess"
I hope he just admits to natalie and gives her poor mom peace, (well as much peace as the poor woman can get)

Really? Are they trying to find him or something? I heard that he was asking for just his mom. Where is his dad? It's too bad that the he will only get up to 35 years. Also I heard that Natalie's mom is so upset that she wired him the money to go and that this happened. But she was trying to get him to do some jail time. Now our FBI is being questioned because the Aruban govt informed the FBI that he was going to leave Aruba and to extradite(sp?) him soon for the extortion charges. Our FBI never followed through to get him. Only 3 days after the money was wired he left. So unfortunate.
Anyone see Greta last night? They had a guy that was playing poker right next to him and he was saying that Van Der Sloot wanted to hang out with him since he was new in town and that he has bad luck with girls. They guy knew who he was and told security.

Yeah the father died unexpectedly in February (heart attack I believe?).
I *think* the Holloways were working with the FBI to trap him on the extortion charge.
Think about it, even with a 35 year sentence he'd still be only 50-something when he is freed. And he won't get the max sentence because of his 'confession', so he'll be even younger.
It's pathetic and such a travesty he's been walking around breathing fresh air and living it up for the past 5 years.

poor stephanie, she didn't have to be sacrificed because aruba couldn't put this guy behind bars. my heart breaks for her family even more than it breaks for natalie's family.
i hope some guy named pepe makes him his b!tch in jail or that they do to him what they did to jeffrey dahmer

He doesn't have daddy to protect him now. So they may be able to get him for the Aruba murder as well. Then he can spend time in prison for Hollaway after he serves in Peru. If he survives in Peru. The girl who he killed has a father with pull. There is a good chance he won't survive to see the end of his sentence.

No he hightailed it to Chile knowing there was NO WAY he'd be able to hide her. The staff didn't find her body for 2 days after the killing.
From reports I've read he's been f***d up on drugs and stuff for YEARS now so I think his mental facilities are just shot. Also he wasn't on his "home turf" in Peru like he was in Aruba so he didn't have creepy friends there to help him out, as he did with Natalie Holloway.

the makers of viagra should keep regular shipments to whatever prison he's locked up in and the guards should give the inmates free reign over his ***.
