Updated! w/Pics Getting your hair "dusted" - Nubest new hair cut for long hair
anyone get it done?
I pass the bill board every day on the bus- and I am thinking about making an appointment
it's for girls with long hair- they cut it dry- and I guess finally do what I have been asking for years- which is truely just trim the ends
Update- So I went this morning- I got a regular hair cut- b/c it was so bad- my hair had no shape to it
but this is the best hair cut I EVER got-
I love it- he kept the lenght- but it has so much more style and shape to it
he cut it wet with the razor- and got all my dead, gross ends off (my hair was past my bra strap) and then his assistant blew it dry-
then he cut it dry!
I could not be happier and it wasn't much more then I was paying before
yes- I had to tip the valet, the coat check and the assistant- but that really didn't come to very much extra (not even $10) total with tips was less then $100
the salon was packed at 9:30am- but they are on top of it- and had it timed perfect-
it looks like I found a new hair place!

My girlfriend has been doing this for years, LOVES it. She will not cut her hair when it is wet ever again. It gives a must more accurate cut.

Just a warning - be prepared with tips...
It will start with the valet parking, then the girl who washes your hair, then Jamie's assistant who holds peices of your hair while he cuts it (instead of using clips)  then jamie and then the coat closet girl.....its never ending!!

I could be wrong...but the last time I was at NuBest, they only took cash. I thought it was really weird, so, just double-check before you go...

Can't answer the question about nubest - but I wanted to ask a question - is "hair dusting" literally dry cutting?
All the stylists I've ever gone to have cut my hair dry (b/c we wear our hair that way) - and never charge "extra" for it or sell it as a difference service.
Just a bit confused here....

it's dry cutting- it's not an extra charge- it's instead of a regular hair cut
according to the website- it's cheaper and it is more maintence then just a regular hair cut
ETA- of all the places I have ever gone for a hair cut- and I have gone to alot of places- no one has ever cut my hair dry

the website says starting at $55
a hair cut with Jamie- who I picked is listed at $70
so I will see what happens on Saturday
either way it has to be better then the girl was going too- who asked me last time who cut my bangs (b/c they were uneven) and I had to break it to her that she did

Oh ok...I only have an AMEX on me all the time so that must have been why I had to pay cash...

Same here. She cuts it wet and then does the finishing up with dry cutting all the time!
