UPDATE! Have been in love with Pottery Barn table since last summer

UPDATE:
Found our table. We are in love with it. Its definitely not a look for everyone, but totally what we wanted. I wanted rustic, farmhouse. He needed solid wood quality and really loved the look of a bench.

After hunting, he found on craigslist. 950.00 for whole set. Table and bench were over 2K when originally purchased, not including 4 chairs.

Owners loved it but were downsizing.

you may kick me (please don't ) but I've seen a few similar ones at antique shops in the Hudson Valley.

it looked very similarly to a farmhouse table.

have you tried antique places down your way?

if I finance through them, I read I get 5% off first purchase.

If I come up with a registry, I get 10% off.

That's a whole lot of babysitting money for the table! I don't care about brand names, just want the quality.

That's a cool table! I love chunky tables, tressel tables, farm tables, reclaimed tables, any wood table!

That one, I'd tell DH he and I were making it!

thanks...that's what I am saying. I don't need the "pottery barn" brand...I just want a quality table. I feel in love with pottery barn's design, but it kills me to spend the money on the brand.

we are long term furniture people. I bought my bedroom set at a store closing and will have it for a long time. Its was close to 70% off.

I love my mitchell gold couch...I will have that forever.

I know I will have this table for years to come...but I never pay full price for anything. DH is sold though

many pottery barn styles are knock-off from other companies. will take some searching but i am sure that you can find something similar.

not sure where you live but you should visit Pieces for the Home in plainview.

they have a variety of SOLID wood table styles in custom finishes. you might not find an exact replica of the PB table but they probably have something similar (trestle). prices are less expensive and the quality is way superior.

i would also look on CL.

Congrats - that is a great deal! They actually had this table at the outlets this past weekend, and DH and I were admiring it. We don't need a new dining room table (cause we already have one), but we decided if we did, that is the one we would want!

Gorgeous!! What a great find!

I have a pottery barn couch and it has worn VERY well and has taken a ton of abuse. It was worth the $ IMO.
