My husband heard 2 women talking today in the elevator that now that Obama is president they wouldnt have to pay thier car or mortgage

I know... I've been hearing this as well. It is AMAZING to me how ignorant some people can be. If anything, their taxes are going to go up. I think MANY people interpreted some of his proposed changes as an opportunity for them to not have to worry about anything.

In response to the OP, that is just insane!

did he see the whole incident from start to finish? Could something have been said to the cops before your son saw this and that was the cops response. I am not saying it is right, but lets not judge until we are sure we have all the information.

Unfortunately, nothing surprises me anymore. I was called a "racist white b!tch" the other day in public because a friend and I were quietly talking to each other about how much we like McCain. We weren't talking about ANYTHING having to do with Obama or race. Some people are just ignorant jerks. I just wish the ignorant jerks would keep their mouths shut.

I just ignored it. I'm comfortable enough with myself to know what I truly feel. I know I'm not racist and I know I didn't say anything racist. Who knows what that guy was thinking... It was a very uncomfortable moment, though. It made me sad not because I got called a name, but because there is so much hatred in the world.

Clearly we have all witnessed how utterly stupid many members of our society can be and it is very scary.

Any person who believes that they no longer have to follow laws or pay their bills b/c Obama is President is stupid. Period. I don't even know why it is given a second thought or discussion is wasted on it.

Any person working in public service (cop, fireman, teacher etc.) who would actually say to a person ALOUD "Don't think you'll get away with this because Obama is president" is really, really stupid. And any person outside of these occupations that believe the same things is also very stupid. End of story.

I kind of snicker at both sides and then fall into a momentary depression. Chat Icon
