Uhhhhhh...two other offers were made on the same house we made an offer on!!!!!!
I hate this! The only house we have liked thus far, finally put a bid in, and now other offers come in. Here comes the fun!!!!!

Do you know where you stand? It's possible yours is still the highest offer. I know this is easier said than done, but try not to let your emotions take over during the negotiation process.

Not sure really, but the price of the house is fair and we offered less. Oh well we know our maximum and if they counter we will go higher but we may not get the opportunity now. Our only benefit is that we do not have a home to sell and we can move quickly if needed, so I hope this means a lot to the sellers.

dont worry! if its meanto be its meant to be.
we were the second offer on our house - for $5K less - but we could move in ASAP and the higher offer was contingent on them selling their house...
so you never know! good luck!

OMG Jaime!!!!!! Honestly, I'd call the R/E agent back and ask either where you stand with the other offers, and explain that you will be a quick closer b/c you have no outstanding liabilities and that you want this conveyed to the owner PRONTO. Make sure the owner is aware that you are preapproved and you want to hear back from the owner, so he doesn't leave you hanging.

Problem is the sellers agent called our agent to say that 2 other offers were coming in tonight and that he wanted us to know so he can place all final offers to the sellers tonight. So i am not sure if our original bid was low and the seller agent wanted to scare us to offer more before he presented offer. Like someone said, the house has been on the market since the summer we put in an offer, and now suddenly two other offers come in the week after new year's???? not sure what to believe.

I went through this in November. And there was someone else bidding against us, but waited over a week to counter back and took the house for $6K more than we could afford.
Contact your agent and tell them exactly what I stated in my last post, so the owner is made aware that you have no liabilities and are willing to close quickly.
When we used a R/E agent, she was bold enough to contact the owner directly thru a 3-way phone call with the listing agent to feel the owner out on cost and what he'd accept/not, etc. This would be a good time to do this.
But you and DH need to decide quickly what your final offer would be b/c it will be asked. And don't budge from it. It's going to be hard as all he!l, but as the girls stated - if it's meant to be, it's meant to be.
I'll still continue praying for you!

I think that what it is a lot of buyers were waiting to see how far the housing prices will drop and now that they are staying the same and not dropping they are starting to put bids in. Your house will come along and when you find it you will realize why you went through everything you did.  house

The house just dropped $30,000 the week before christmas and I think that is why the movement now. Oh welll...we'll see what happens.
