HOLY COW! The house two doors down from me...
Was knocked down and an investor rebuilt it. They are selling the rebuilt house. I would LOVE to buy this house but it is too much $$. I wonder what our house is worth now, we renovated a fixer upper.

Did anyone have a rebulit home next to you that was WAY more $$ than the house you purchased? Did it effect your home's value at all? TIA

a builder bought a house down the street from me (totally dump but paid over $600k for it). he knocked it down and is in the process of buiding a 12,000 + sq foot home equipped w/ an indoor racquet ball court.

There's a home on the street behind me that was remodeled. They got 1.4 mil for it back in 2004.
Another ranch on the street behind me was purchased in 2004 for 845K and they completely leveled it to rebuild a new home.
My neighbor across the street purchased a split for 850K and has totally remodeled it as well. (He's a builder that's done a number of homes in our neighborhood.)
So far there have been 4 tear-downs/rebuilds and quite a few remodels with extensions in my neighborhood. I'm all for it!!!

I have that in my neighborhood too.
My cousin lives in Monroe and just sold his home and bought another. He is also a realtor up there.
