TTC questions....please help
I am just in need of hearing other people's stories.
Has anyone here tested at 1-2 days prior to AF and gotten a BFN and then gotten a BPF after AF was due?
I have been really nauseous and have had some cramping, but this is my first month off of the pill and I used to have HORRIBLE cramps during my period without the pill....so I really don't know if it's just AF coming or maybe I am pregnant?
I hate this guessing game. I have had a bunch of BFN's (pee on a stickaholic) and AF is due on Tuesday, so I am close to knowing the verdict...
Would love to hear from any of you that had BFNs that quickly turned to BFPs ....I need something to keep my hopes up.

If this is your first month off the pill, then it's definitely going to be a waiting game. my body went through some weird stuff when I came off and it took 40+ days for AF to arrive.

I was in the same boat....it was my first month off BCP in July....I had what I thought was the day my AF was due...so I tested a few days prior and BFN--so discouraged. Tested a day after AF due---BFN--had my annual exam and had the GYNO do a test BFN(a week after I thought AF was due). I tested a week after that visit since I still hadn't gotten AF and then FINALLY a BFP!! I couldn't believe it so I went and got 2 more tests! They were all BFP. I hope this happens for you!!!

I know this is unsolicited advice but i am going to give it anyway...
i think you should becareful...I understand you are anxious and all. I know for a few months i was the same way...But it seems to me that you are really getting your hopes up HIGH. I would becareful about doing that. I know this is your first month of TTC but this kinda of thing can really make you crash really hard if you aren't PG.
I am not saying to not be hopeful...nor am i saying that you may not be PG as we speak..
But it seems to me that you are OVER THE TOP anxious..and that can lead to a big fall. Especially if this isn't your month and you are like this for a few... it will really wear on you emotionally...
So just becareful

Well, I didn't take a test before AF was due, but I was convinced that I wasn't pregnant b/c I was due for AF on Thursday and was spotting on Tuesday. The spotting went away and never came back.
I waited til Saturday and tested and got a BFP in about 25 seconds.
It was my first month off the pill too....

I would definitely wait a bit as very hard as that is to test again. Going off the pill can make you very irregularthe first few months and can make you feel like garbage too - so I would wait a bit and see you might just be off cycle. But I do know you are more fertile when you go off the pill so I would wait maybe until Thursday and test again (geez I know that is not what you want to hear sorry)

I just want to say I wentthrough the same thing when I first got off the pill and then AF came like another 10 days after I had taken the pregnancy test. I wish you lots of luck TTC and lots of And oh yea my name is Alicia too!

I know what you are saying, and yes I am totally getting way too hopeful and excited for my first month off. I am impatient. And yes, I will crash hard if it doesn't happen right away. Thanks for your advice....I know exactly what you mean. I think that if I don't get pregnant this month then I will realize that it's not going to be easy and that I need to be more patient. It's just this first month...it's a new feeling and I can't help myself.

When I went off the pill, I cramped a lot too for a few days. We are in month three of trying so it hasnt been very long.
Red is right about the anxious part. We all do want it so bad. I know I do. And getting AF su c ks. I cant delay my gratification at all. Each and every time I see someone getting PG after the first month of trying, I become envious and wonder why it isnt me and if I will have fertility problems. Right now, it is certainly too early to tell. I wish I could relax and just enjoy BDing but int he back of my head I say to myself "this could be it" and it puts a lot of pressure on the both of us. I think its natural.

ON A SOMEWHAT POSITIVE NOTE:
you said you are due for AF tomorrow..and you think you are feeling signs of it
well a LOT of people's cycles are SCREWY for a few months off when they first come off the pill
so yes it woudl suck that you are not PG...But it is also relly good news that your cycles are still regular!
IMO that is awesome news...some spend 4 + months JUST trying to get things back to normal
so this is a POSITIVE NOTE!

never got AF
I was kinda surprised
now i am feeling my normal self..
