Tomorrow is one of my observations for tenure
Tomorrow I am getting observed by the Director of Special Ed. in our district. I hope everything goes smoothly and that none of my kids are absent. It's a class of 6 and they will be working in pairs. I'll be relieved after it's over.

Good luck! I can't believe you only have 6 students! What are the "classifications" of most of your students? I work in NYC and have Speech/Language Delay, OHI, ED and have 12.

Me too!! Today at 9:30!! My stomach is in knots. Social workers were never observed before this year, so this is my first observation ever, and also for my tenure this year!!

OOH! good luck!!
i'm a speech therapist at a school, so i know how nervewracking observations are!
and especially me that has only 2 or 3 kids at a time, the principals are used to the regular classroom lesson plans and stuff, so its so hard when i have to explain everything to them more, and they don't "get" that i'm limited to what i can do with a small group...
but it usually goes well, and i think so much of it is to offer suggestions of what you maybe could do better next time... i dno't think they're looking to not give people tenure let us know how it goes!!

It actually went really well. One of my students was absent so I only had two groups. But everything went smoothly and I was happy that my united streaming video played w/o any problems.

I'm so glad!!! It's scary to rely on technology, some administrators don't seem to care sometimes that we can't control that!!
