Toddler hates pooping
My almost 18 month old seems to have issues pooping. He has lots of fruits a day and even a cup of watered pear juice per the Peds advise. He has been going every other day. He's pertly fine, eats well, but then right before he has to go he cries and can't seem to find a good position to get himself to so he can go. He cries and then finally goes. Sometimes they are hard, but sometimes they aren't. He seems to go twice too when he goes. First a little trouble first time going. I clean him up and change him then about 15 mins later or so he goes again with no issues and that one is softer. I have his 18 month visit next week so I'll am his Ped again. Any other advise?
He's off babyfood, but I do give him babyfood prunes a few times a week so he can go regular. Sorry to b a little tmi, but I also remember having some issues as a kid with number 2.

Re: Toddler hates pooping
DS (17 mo) was very constipated and developed an anal fissure. He takes 1.5 tsp of miralax a day and it is soft now. My oldest was on miralax too for a while. Only my middle had no issues.
Miralax is harmless- does not leave your intestines so GI doctor says they can stay on for a long time with no issues.

Hope the doc has answers. All I know is apples are binding! pears loosen.
AJ calls them 'pokey poo' and says she's 'brave' when they happen.
