I think the show is phenomenal, but I am getting a little annoyed that it sounds like we won't find out how Jack died this season.

We aren't finding out this season, producers already said that. If I remember correctly we might find out half way through season 2.

I saw Milo V. on Jimmy Kimmel last night and I could tell from what he was saying that nothing was going to be accomplished on this finale so I knew going in that it was just going to be blah.
On another note, isn't Beth pregnant?

SO disappointed. I looked at the time and it was 9:50 and I'm like... so.... how is there only 10 minutes left and nothing has happened yet. Meanwhile everything I read leading up to this episode was about how intense/groundbreaking it was going to be. Wtf.

While I love this show, I do think they are a little self indulgent and hype themselves WAY too much. It was a nice episode, that's all you can say about it. In no way was it intense or groundbreaking......................unless you consider marital problems and fighting a new concept on TV shows. lol

If I want to see a married couple fight I would just tape my life .... that isn't ground breaking it is someone spying on my life and writing into a show

It was definitely negative.
They were overwhelmed but especially her. Before the negative result, she was saying how she had really wanted to go back to work. Then they got the result and she was clearly relieved. Then later in that episode there was a very brief scene that showed Randall crying. I interpreted that to mean he thought more about the negative result and was sad. Then last night he said he wants to adopt a baby which affirms my impression of his reaction.
As a side note I am curious about how that will affect their marriage because when he mentioned adoption she was clearly like WTF and she will probably be that much more ready to advance her career with William gone.

I'm in the minority but I liked it. Maybe not for a finale, but i loved seeing how they met and how Jack's life was making a turn for the worst had he not met her that night. I wonder what happened to his friend. At first I thought that was Miguel.
I couldn't believe she let him walk out after that speech on how much he loves her. But he did say hurtful things so she probably needs time.

I thought the episode was going to end with him leaving and dying in a car accident on his way to Miguel's.

I was shocked by this episode. I didn't cry once, and I have been an oasis of tears at most of the episodes.
We already knew they had some level of martial strife related to Jack's drinking. Coming off of the two episodes before, I was really expecting much more "oomph."
I don't think the episode was "bad," but it didn't leave enough of an impression for a season finale.

Me too!
I think I had already come to terms we wouldn't know how he died, so I was ok with it.
I thought it was so cool to see how they met and good to know that while he is awesome, he's not perfect.
