Things kids say...
My daughter always has a way of making me feel soooo beautiful!
She just looked at me and said "Mommy, you're growing a mustache"
Guess it's time to run out and get a lip wax!
And this isn't' the first time she's said something that made me feel like an ugly beast! #nofilter

Things kid's say...
For a long time my kids (and my mother actually) kept asking me if I had a baby in my tummy- Id repeatedly say no and the follow up was inevitably-- "yes you do! your tummy is SOOO big".
Thanks, brats.
ETA: Other lovely flattery includes... "you've got a chubby butt (thighs, arms etc) ."

LOL, my DD once said my butt looked like 2 ripe apples. I am not sure if that's a compliment or a dig! :

Re: Things kid's say...
Thats hilarious and quite descript. I'd take two ripe apples over "chubby butt".

Things kids say...
When DD was about a year old her teacher was pregnant. DH was getting a bit of a gut and she would pat his belly and say "baby."
While reading a book of opposites- "The elephant is heavy, the mouse is light. Mommy, you're the elephant because you are heavy and I'm the mouse because I'm light." The next day she told DH "mommy is heavy like an elephant." Now whenever she sees an elephant she says "look mommy, an elephant like you!" I threw the book out. I think she gets the concept of opposites.

My four year old refused to eat his dinner tonight
I told him “ok but then no dessert”
“I don’t want dessert anyway. You know what mommy you should go to jail.”
“I should go to jail because you don’t want to eat your dinner”
“Yeah”

DD wouldn't eat her dinner last night either (PIZZA! What kid puts their foot down at pizza?! ) and I said no ice pop then. She kept storming in and out of the room and every time she'd come back in she'd stamp her foot and scream "I'M MAD AT YOU!" and storm out again. It took everything in me not to laugh.
Then this morning my DH was complaining about a guy not using his indicator on the expressway and DD asked him "what's that?" and he went off into a rant about turn signals and common courtesy and safety and she just cut him off with an eye roll and an "Okay daddy." When she's feeling extra snarky she'll call me by my first name.

Re: Things kids say...
How bout this one
I cleaned up the toys cuz I was sick of asking my 8 year old and 4 year old to put them away. I asked allllllll day long. Guys I have to vacuum. We are having company tomorrow. The baby can’t come down here cuz it’s dangerous with all these tiny legos. Pls clean up. Pls help me.
Nothing. Mommy there’s too many toys. Mommy we’re tired. Etc.
Ok I’ll take care of it
Put them in garbage bags when they were watching tv cuz they were too tired to clean up toys. When they saw the bags and they realized what was happening
Tears
Teeeeaaaaarrrrrsssssss from both of them
Then my 4 year old “you know what Mommy. I’m gonna ask Santa for new toys. And he’s gonna get them for me”
Well Santa also watches to see if you’ve been good
“You know what? He’s gonna GET me new toys. Cuz he LOVES me”
No I’m pretty sure Santa hates you right now...

Things kids say...
My 6 yr old DD was staying at my parents house last week for a couple of days because there was no school.
She asked my parents if they can take her to Target to get LOL's. My mom told her no.
With that, my mom said she got all mad and huffy and went into the bedroom. My parents hear her rummaging around and out she comes with ther suitcase and a bag. My parents asked her where she thinks she is going. DD replies:
"I am calling Uber and an assistant and they will take me to Target!"
Well at least she knows she can't go places herself!
