people really amaze me....
Mine are like this -
Them - Your b**bs look huge - you must be pregnant
Me - no it's the bra
Them - you look a little bigger - you must be pregnant -
Me - No I just gained some weight but thanks for pointing it out
Or one of DH's friend's wife asks DH if I'm ovulating yet...

"Wait a few years"
"You're so young anyways"
"Don't rush into it"
"Travel"
"It is the end of your free life"

I get "are you PG?"
I tell them "no"
I get back "Are you sure"
I tell them "YES I'm sure"
They ask "How do you know you aren't"
AHHHHHHH
If they only KNEW just HOW friggin well I know I "arent"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And then this one "Kathy you have to relax you cant get so obsessed" they have no idea.

There are all these annoying variations on "just relax" too, like---
"Go on a vacation and it will happen"
or my personal favorite:
"If you give up and start working on an adoption, just watch, you're going to get pregnant"
The second one came from my mother, who claims to have all sorts of anecdotal evidence to back this up

I especially love the people who hear we are having trouble and proceed to tell me about their "accident" and how it was so easy for them.

-from my siblings I'm sure the spouses enjoy hearing that one
oh, and "daycare is so awful, I dunno how anyone can do that the their child." from the same siblings who full well know I can't quit my career and would NEED to do daycare...
PS - none of them have any idea. I've been saying "I know, don't worry."
but then again, we're not TTC for 6 months...

Can you imagine the look on someone's face if you were to say to them "I don't know, Mama always told me that kissing made girls pregnant and that's what we always do."
(I had a roommate in COLLEGE who thought that women got PG that way. Upstate NY can rival Florida for armpit status)

I'm with you on this, Cheryl!
Outside of you ladies and maybe 2 friends (if that) NOONE knows we are actively TTC
HOWEVER I think everyone is assuming we are TTC, especially our famiy (but I refuse to confirm or deny that) My favorite was when we had just gotten engaged, and I started hearing "well since you ARE getting older and into "high risk territory" I'm surrrrrre you'll be trying to get PG on your honeymoon, right?"
I'm already sensitive to the fact that I am 35 (was 34 when we were married) ... I did NOT NEED to have it rubbed in

Last month more than 4 people asked me if I was PG (I think thats why i freaked out and tested every day)
I have also gotten... You're only married a year why rush it. and my best one Your lives will be over. What a Crock! I wish people would mind their business!

"No, I am just to busy eating and having sex that I no longer have time to work out."
OR
"No, I'm just fat." (I have noticably gained weight and this was what I was planning to say to co-workers if the question came up.)
