the new playstation
last night we went to kohl's
and best buy is right next to kohl's
well there was about 80 people lined up already to get it and it goes on sale friday ..... this is crazy. dh was so mad because he was going to line up thursday afternoon now he has no chance

Playstation 2 is only 129.00 now, and when it came out it was 400 bucks. The obsession will end and the price will go down.

it's beyond ridiculous, especially since the defect rate on new systems is notoriously high. PLUS Playstation has a reputation for having issues with their systems.
If anyone is planning on getting one....PLEASE get a protection plan. I believe Xbox 360 defect rate upon launch was 20%, 2 out of every 10 were defective.
And don't buy it on Ebay.....the sellers are having their auctions pulled since Sony put a ban on Ebay. Those sellers are losing their reserves at the stores for selling on Ebay, so you won't be getting your system.

i didn't get a PS2 until a year after came out when the price comes down
anyone willing to stand on line for something like that and spend that kind of money needs to have their head checked

Its not just about the video games. PS3 is an entertainment center, which is why my DH has been on a waitlist for almost a year. We will never play games on it, just use it for its HDMI ports.

We have a receiver too dh says you can never have too many ports!
