The little things at work that make your day
I have one of those keyboard space saver under the desk things and it's been sitting next to my desk for 4 months waiting to be put in. I was very patient and every once in a while would nudge my boss that I need the IT guy to put it in. Turns out the IT guy didnt have a drill. I let it go and would hope one day I would come into work and it would be there.
Well today at 1pm the IT guy tells me to move over and he breaks out a drill. My boss brought his drill in for the IT to put my keyboard thing in.
I was so excited. It's the most silliest thing but to me it meant the world. I thanked my boss so much for bringing in his drill so the IT guy could put it in for me.

Being in the hearse alone
Quiet, sweet quiet! No ringing phones, no high strung bosses.....no answering stupid questions!!! Just a comfy Caddy & the radio!
ETA to clarify that I mean with no driver, not the passenger riding in the back!!

Today I had to explain to my EIGHTH graders that that the NAVY deals with subMARINES not the MARINES EVEN though MARINE is in the word submarine..
This blew their minds...

This WOULD make my day....
The keyboard space saver fell off the bracket to which it is now hanging off, underneath my desk. Will someone fix this damn thing......I work for carpenters for gawd sakes!!!!!
Oh yeah, and I would love to be able to send outgoing mail but Outlook SUX!!! Where the he!! is "Geek on the Run" when you need em??

I checked my Outlook calendar when I got in...and my whole day is FREE, no meetings! Yipppeee! I've been in way too many meetings lately, not getting any actual work done.

When all of my students are present on the day of a test or the day an assignment is due.
On Monday mornings, the dry erase boards have actually been cleaned over the weekend.
There isn't a line at the copy machine at 6:45 am
At least one copy machine works, has toner and paper in it
When I wash my hands in the faculty room and there are actually paper towels in the holder.
I don't ask for much

Thats always the best. This week some of my co-workers have been bringing in Starbucks coffee beans and someone else brought his bean grinder so we've been able to have fresh brewed starbucks coffee at the office. Another co-worker brought in Ghiradelli cocoa mix. OMG the cocoa mix and starbucks coffee makes a delicious day

When my boss lets me leave a half hour early, like today
When you ask someone to do something and they actually DO it.
When someone asks me how to do something and I tell them and they actually LISTEN and LEARN. That makes me sooooo happy.
