The importance of wearing your seat belt *update* in op
I lost a co worker over the weekend she was not wearing her seatbelt. please remember to wear them!!! both her and her boyfriend work for the company
*UPDATE*
they ended up not giving him the ticket due to the sign being turned... I also read that they are putting in a light where this happened. which is great but sad that we had to loose Kristin in order for this to happen.

A Yaphank woman has died after a two-car collision in Wading River, police said.

Kristin DiFrancia, 20, was pronounced dead at Mather Memorial Hospital after the crash at 7:20 p.m. Saturday near the corner of Route 25A and Randall Road, police said.
DiFrancia was riding in the passenger seat of a car driven by her boyfriend, Gregory St. Germain, 22, when the vehicle ran a stop sign and collided with a Jeep driven by Marcos Benitez, 25, of Wading River, police said.
St. Germain and a passenger in Benitez's car, Katarzyna Madej, 21, of , were taken to University Hospital at Stony Brook for minor injuries, while Benitez was uninjured, police said.
Although St. Germain has been issued a summons for passing a stop sign, there will be no criminal charges in the case, said Suffolk Det. Bruce Harris.
Harris, who said the crash occurred at a corner where traffic accidents are common, said alcohol was not a factor. The intersection is just north of the northeast corner of Brookhaven State Park.
"It's just a tragic accident," Harris said, adding that the intersection "is all plastic and glass from all the fender benders" that occur there.
Suffolk police have asked anyone with information about the crash to contact them at 631-852-8752.

So sad. Wearing your seatbelt is very important. The driver shouldn't have run the stop sign either. People seem to think stop signs are optional. It is so sad that things like this happen.

That is terrible, I am so sorry  I sent this article to my sister bc she is 22 and does NOT wear her seatbelt.. she says it does not "look cool".

as for the driver... the stop sign was turned to look like it was ment for the other driver.... he was also a co worker and it is killing him that he was responsable
