My grandmother had a valve replacement in the winter of '05 and she has recovered so well...and she was 79 at the time of the surgery. Then to top it off, that summer she had both of her knees replaced!

I am not even sure what to say. I am so sorry to hear what you are going thru and what a road you will have to walk. I wish you lots of strength - you sound like a very strong person already. I just read your update and I am , but they are happy tears. I too just went through a scary time with my heart. Having this board to come to for support, hugs and prayers really made the whole ordeal a little easier to get through.
