Tell me to STOP looking online....
I am totally convincing myself that this little one is not going to stick.
We did a 3 day transfer of a "perfect" 8 cell embryo, but from what I am reading online, a 5 day transfer is MUCH better.
Makes it hard to be optimistic.
Sorry to be a downer.... just hoping upon hope that this sticks and TRYING to not get discouraged....

Stay off the internet!!!! There are LOTS of women on here who have had successful 3 day transfers - I am 30 weeks PG after a 3 day transfer!

I think the 5 day transfer is great, but I don't know how common that is. And remember, the number of embryos is part of what leads people to a 5 day transfer. If you have lots of top quality embryos (like 12 of them) they head to a 5 day. If you have two embies and one of them is 8 cell grade 1, they will probably do a 3 day because you only have two embies.

There really is nothing you can do to change anything right now, so just try and keep yourself busy with other projects, thoughts, etc.
I totally know that is easier said than done, but you are just going to drive yourself nuts.

It seems a lot of girls got prenant on here with 3 days so stop stressing.
i felt the same way you did when they moved me to day 5. try not to stress though, believe me i know its hard not too :(

I discussed this with the nurses at NS and they told me that there is a lot of contradictory things on the web and that they see pretty the same success rates between 3 and 5 day so i would try not too worry about it too much. I was kind of freaking out about it too wanting to make sure that i would have a 5 day but the nurse said something that was very comforting to me - at one point they only did 3 day transfers and there were plenty of success stories! hang in there!

I am in the SAME boat as you! I transferred two 8-cell embryos on day 3 and based on other women's posts, I should've felt cramps by now but I have nothing! Never in my life did I think I would WANT cramps!

my DS (avatar) is the result of a 3 day transfer
and everyone is different, I had absolutely no spotting or any symptons with DS
sticky vibes!!

I've never had a 5 day transfer, I actually asked and was told that based on my situation, 3 day transfers were much more successful. I got PG twice with 3 day transfers.
It always pays to be your own advocate, but you also have to understand that the RE's have much more specific information available to them. Not to mention, years of personal experience.

I was told by a pioneer in this field Dr Rozenwaks from Cornell that a 3dt is actually "better" than a 5dt.....He said that the embryo is better of developing in your body than in the dish.....if you look at Cornell's statistics you will see that 80% of their transfers are 3dt and only 20% are 5dt...that tells you something (they are 2nd best clinic in the country)......of course at the end it comes to luck...
I'm at Cornell and I had a 3-day. Waiting for my beta next week! Absolutely no cramps or spotting (yet).

I heard this too about 3dt. I know many, many women who have gotten pg from 3dts - tons from this board! I know how hard it is to stay off the internet but you have to try - keep yourself as busy as possible with other distractions.
I did end up doing a 5dt and I did not have any cramps, spotting or other symptoms AT ALL (other than some weird dreams) until close to 6 weeks. PLEASE do not think that you are not pg because you don't have symptoms this early. Most women do not. Good luck!

5 day transfer is not always best - there are pros and cons! When I talked about it with my re, she suggested a 3 day transfer, the theory being that the embryo flourishes better in the womb environment as opposed to a petri dish
Anyway, I had a 3 day transfer with two 8-celled embryos, and I have an almost 5 month old now - stay positive!

Do a search on me and you'll see I was FREAKING out the entire 2ww because I had literally NO symptoms. And yet, I was still PG Being on all those medications and the whole process desensitizes your body to any potential symptoms - it seems to be quite normal not to feel anything with an IVF pregnancy.

Your RE would not do a 3dt if s/he did not think it was better for you.

Please try not to make yourself crazy about what symptoms you may or may not have!!! Everyone one is different.
I was convinced with DD that my IVF cycle didn't work because I didn't feel a thing. I had not one symptom of pregnancy until I was 9 weeks pregnant.

I find that when you look on the internet you can find anything to support "your journey". It plays with your head. Day 3 v Day 5 transfer - you'll find stories to support either. In the end, it will work if it's supposed to... no matter what Google or even the Dr's say.
I just recently went through a Day 5 transfer with 2 "perfect" embryos and BFN. So please don't worry about that -focus on putting positive energy out there. You'll do great! Best of luck

i got PG after transferring an 8 cell also..on a 3 day transfer and i am PG with twins!!
there are a lot of ladies that had success with a 3 day transfer!

Actually there is still no conclusive eveidence on 3 or 5 days. Soem embies do better in the uterus and would not have survived 5 days in the dish. I have healthy 1 year old twin boys from a 3 days transfer. 1 9 cell and 1 7 cell

Buy a good book and force yourself to stay away from the computer. Try to keep busy, books, movies etc. I already did that search re D3 or D5 Transfer. It turns out that it's all in God's hands! good luck!
