UPDATE
My DD got a message from the oldest sister today saying that she was sorry how she reacted and realized how out of line she was and
didn't realize she sounded like such a bytch. (right)
I think a little angel called my mom had something to do with her sudden guilt. My DD hasn't decided if she is even going to call her back and talk to her or not. I'm still glad I don't have to deal with that crap at the wedding. Thankfully she didn't try to come to the wedding after all that.

My XH has 5 kids from 2 previous marrages. The oldest girl is his X's and his step daughter. My youngest DD texed her if she knew yet if her family was going to be able to come to the wedding. The RSVP deadlie was 6/1. She texted back that she wasn't sure yet because her son might have a soccor game. Jackie said ok is it possible to let us know by Friday. The sister replies that if she has to decide that soon than the answer is no. Jackie texts back. OK I'm so sorry. The sister then texts back "whatever" and we are now not comming to the bachlotette party and have a nice life.
W T H ???????? 
This woman is 40 years old and my kids are 20 and 23. I can't for the life of me figure out why she responded that way.
My Dd'S are very hurt and upset by this.
They totally didn't deserve this.
My DD's other 1/2 sister,who has the same mom as the other one rsvp'd yes and then told them they now aren't comming because they decided to make other plans. This was done before
the other sister did what she did.:

 I am sorry. Family can be really awful sometimes. Your DD is much better off without them. As hard as it is now, please don't ever give them a second thought. Don't let their not coming mar her special day. These words are unfortunately spoken from experience and heart ache.

I am sorry. Family can be really awful sometimes. Your DD is much better off without them. As hard as it is now, please don't ever give them a second thought. Don't let their not coming mar her special day. These words are unfortunately spoken from experience and heart ache.
I promised my DD's that I would not say anything about it to anyone. My heart aches for my sweetie pies over this.

WORD! It's just weird because my Son(step) that I raised since he was 8 months old has the same bio mom as she does. That will not be effected! My girls and him grew up in the same house FT and are close.

I am so sorry she had to go through that !I have learned that weddings bring out the true colors in people....it just sux when it is bad and hurtful I hope she can keep her head up and enjoy "her" time as a bride to be ,and don't let those beeeotches ruin it !!

I'm so sorry that she had to go through this. It's hard to see it now but with time, she'll realize it is all for the best.
My wedding was similarly marred. I invited my "aunt", the xw of my uncle and godfather. She was really the only aunt we ever knew growing up. My uncle took the invitation as a personal insult and sent the most vile written letter insulting myself and my parents (this uncle is my father's only surviving sibling). He didn't come to the wedding (even though all of his kids from his first 2 marriages were there) and refuses to speak to us to this day.
It hurts that these things happen, but you don't want spoilers at your daughter's wedding. And the day of, she'll never even give them a second thought.

Thanks everyone. I totally think it will be less drama for my DD and even though it hurts now I think everyone sees it's for the best.

I totally agree that weddings bring out the best in some people and the absolute worst in others. I am so sorry they are acting in this horrible way towards your DD, but you know what? Better to have the drama now than on her wedding day! They sound like ****es anyway!!!!
