Teen Mom Died of Asthma Attack, Smothered Infant Son

FORT WORTH, Texas - Investigators determined a 15-year-old Irving mom died of natural causes and her son's death was a freak accident.
Police in Irving told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram on Monday that test results from the Dallas County medical examiner's office show that Rebecca Ray died of an asthma attack in her bedroom on Dec. 15.
Police Sgt. Danny Webb said she apparently was holding her 1-month-old son, Cole Childress, when she collapsed and fell on him, suffocating him.
Autopsies found no injuries to either.

She wasn't sleeping with him- she was holding him and collapsed on top of him.

It is very tragic.... Suffocation can be deadly and its also a reminder to be careful cosleeping or using slings.
