How are you all feeling about our presidents $750 contribution to our great nation?
If you are a Republican, help me understand. How is healthcare a handout and this isn’t? Why doesn’t he have bootstraps and pull himself up?

I am not one bit surprised as he's been a self serving, lying, cheating, joke of a businessman his ENTIRE life however, I am shocked that his brainwashed base is still actually defending him!!  He is literally stealing THEIR hard earned money and they are STILL carrying on about it all being fake news. I mean seriously????? How much physical PROOF does one need before they finally see the writing on the wall?????
The ONLY reason Trump EVER ran in the first place and why he SO desperately wants to win again is for two reasons:
1) He is a rampant narcissist who is NOTHING without constant adoration from everyone around him. (see DICTATOR in the dictionary)
and
2) He knows FULL well that if he loses he will be heading straight to jail with his other corrupt POS buddies. He is a CRIMINAL. Say it loud and proud because it's the TRUTH and he deserves to rot in jail along with his rotten, cheating kids.
I am not even going to be nice about it anymore, at this point you are a complete idiot if you vote for Trump. Period. Let's set aside the fact that he is actually an IMPEACHED president which that alone should remove him from the running. He is also DESTROYING our democracy, STEALING from every taxpayer, LYING on a daily basis and worse, KILLING your friends and family thanks to his inaction and ineptitude when it comes to this virus.
America needs to wake up and take back this country before it's too late, we won't survive another 4 years under this clown.

But nobody has EVER actually seen his taxes before to fully understand the level of cheating and lying. He didn't pay taxes for YEARS, other years he paid around $750!! He has taken thousands upon thousands of dollars for everything from haircuts to golf outings to vacations. He fraudulently gave money to his brat children, he claimed loss after loss after loss and is currently in debt HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS of dollars. Oh, and he paid taxes to foreign nations that served his interests.
He has made a career of stealing money, stiffing people and lying. It's no wonder he went through hell to try and keep these returns under wraps, he's literally just been exposed as a failed businessman, broke a$$ loser and tax evader. WHY would anyone vote for this man??!!

Is it actually possible that he really only paid $750? Or, was it that he only owed $750 in April, but he paid thousands (or millions?) throughout the year? I feel like I get $750 withheld from my paycheck every pay period!! There's no way he doesn't get more than that withheld! Granted, he doesn't necessarily get a W2 each year, but still... It just doesn't seem at all logical. I don't get it!

Not only is it possible, it's a fact.
It's called lying and cheating on your taxes, deducting for every little thing and claiming loss after loss. He didn't pay ANY taxes for YEARS. Not a penny. The years he paid, it was $750. Total. NOT millions. $750 while the rest of us get taxed endlessly.
The way you and I are taxed and how we file isn't even in the same playing field as Trump, you cannot compare your paycheck to how he's taxed. There is no rational reason, other than corruption, for his tax situation. WHY do you think he's been paying lawyer after lawyer and fought in court after court to keep them hidden? It's not a coincidence.

True but I think it's worse than most expected. He not only hasn't paid hardly anything, but there's an investigation going on that may result in him owing $100M in taxes which he doesn't have. I believe it also said he owes another $300M in various other debts to no one knows who that comes due in the next 4 years. He could very well be facing foreclosures bcagain he doesn't have the money to pay his debts.
Also, the NYT has more to come out in the coming weeks. This may be just the beginning and perhaps there will be clear evidence of fraud or tax evasion that he's trying to get out of but we'll have to wait and see what comes out.

I remember him saying he would fix the tax laws bc he knew all the loopholes. Except I'm pretty sure all he did was make it worse. Btw he did pay thousands in taxes to other countries like Turkey and the Philippines all while claiming the US has the worst tax laws.

if you're a millionaire and you hope to have the same "loopholes," i understand you wanting to keep him in office.
but if you're a working stiff who is living paycheck to paycheck and are blaming the poor for living off the tit of america, you're the one who has had the wool pulled over your eyes. i'm so tired of being angry. i'm reached the point of sadness. i'm sad that so many people have been duped this way and continue to defend him and every single one of his actions.

That's what I think too but talking to trump supporters, they think they are patriots and think of themselves as the silent majority. My opinion is that they are the LOUD MINORITY.

He spent over 70K on his hair on the apprentice and wrote it off as a deduction. I can't claim more than $250 as a teacher. Yet my teacher friends who adore him don't see the problem with this.

Clearly the tax laws need to be changed. I’m a believe of a flat tax for everyone, so everyone is paying their fair share.
He isn’t the only millionaire using these loopholes. These laws have been around for years. Democrats nor republicans have made any significant changes.

I believe if someone is avoiding an issue or accusation for so long it worse than I'd imagine. Again this doesn't surprise me one bit. He's a damn con-man and crook. I always thought he was. As for a failed businessman, many of us already knew that. I really don't understand how his supporters dont see it. Unless they are too..lol

My husband is self employed and our accountant takes advantage of every deduction available to us. With that said, shouldn't people be more mad at the laws and not him using said loopholes. Plus, do not think that he is the only one who does that cause its not and he even admitted to it.

Yes. I’m very angry at the BS tax law he passed that enabled this.
The people who benefit from the laws make the laws.
Do you really see nothing wrong with the president paying $0 dollars in taxes?
He’s admitted nothing. He’s claiming fake news. I can’t wait for him to be in jail.

The POTUS doesn't pay taxes. Just let that sink in. The PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES doesn't pay a dime in taxes. The POTUS also pays taxes to foreign nations otherwise known as a conflict of interest. Let that sink in too.
He is a criminal. A lying, corrupt, scamming criminal who is using the office of president to keep himself out of jail.
There is a reason he fought so hard to keep this information hidden. Don't be so naive to think that a tax loophole is all there is to this story.
