swimming lessons in Queens
I would like to sign DS for swim lessons when he is around 6 months old, so I have started looking. The closest Saf-T-Swim to us is Westbury, which is still 30 min. or so (we are in Bayside). Anyone know of anything closer?I am willing to go into western nassau (Great Neck or Manhasset), but something no more than 15 min. away. I know the Flushing Y has classes but there is NO parking there at all, and the area is so congested I feel like I would end up parking blocks away. I would have to sign up for either a Sat or Sun class since I am returning to work in September. Any ideas??

Flushing Meadow Park opened up a huge swimming complex.
Greenpoint BKLN YMCA has swim lessons also.

I was just going to suggest this. I think we're going to start DS there in September for swimming lessons (he'll be 7 mos then).

O wow, never thought of them!! Are they the ones on Hillside Ave., right by Van Buren High School?
DS will be 4 months in September, but maybe i'll join up then too. If you are taking a weekend class maybe we can meet, and I can finally get to know an LIF'er! lol
