Student Loan info...rates going up!
How do I lock in my rate? I have a loan through the Dept. of Ed. Direct Loans. I have been paying automatically for almost a year. So if rates are going up, how do I change it to keep a good rate? Do I have to switch my provider? I'm confused.

You can consolidate and lock in a rate- that way it can never go up.

Is there a company that is more preferrable? Do I continue to pay Direct Loans?
