Starting fruits/veggies question

We started Seamus on applesauce 4 days ago. He had no reaction

We are going to start sweet potatoes tonight

My questions is, do I just give him sweet potatoes for the next 4 days or can I give him applesauce in the morning and swee potatoes at night? Since I know he didnt have a reaction from the applesauce I am thinking if he did have a reaction, I could assume it was the swet potatoes.

Once you know DC doesn't have a reaction to a food, you can always give it to them, even if you are introducing something new. So if you know he is good with applesauce, you can still give it to him when introducing the sweet potatoes. That way if he has a reaction, you know it is the sweet potatoes and not the applesauce.

Re: Starting fruits/veggies question

thats what i did.. I continued the fruit at breakfast just as long as I knew it was one that wasnt new one. I would do apples first, then no allergie so continued apples while I did a new veg. then when veg was done, did a new fruit continued with that veg.. and then vice versa.. this way they still get the benefits of both.

Exactly how we do it. Fruits are AM, veggies PM. Alternating a new one each week.
