Spinoff to work hours... how much paid time off do you get at your job?

I just went through all our paid HOLIDAY days off for 2008 and we get 24!

On top of that we accrue 2 days per month of sick/vacation time so that's 24 more days off i'll accrue during the year.

I work for a college.

At my old job in NY we got 10 paid holidays and 10 days sick/vacation.

3 weeks, 1 floater, 2 personal days & 5 sick days..

Oh yeah and all of the major holidays.

We got a paid day off for Labor day this year for the first time ever. Usually 4th of July is a paid holiday.

Zero sick days, zero vacation days.

The only good thing is we only work about 9-10 months a year.

Lucky lol, we 5 holidays, one floating, 10 sick/personal, 3 weeks vac.

we don't get any vacation days because i'm a teacher so we have summers off, plus other weeks off during the year

Ours is pretty unofficial, but we use 3 wks as a good ballpark for vacation days and essentially unlimited sick/personal days. I also have off any day the NYSE is closed.

We don't distinguish between sick and vacation time so we get 37 paid days off. I'm not sure how many holidays, though. Maybe 8?

but then i can work "credit" hours and take days off using that and not touching my leave balance. We can carry over 24 credit hours a pay cycle so if we go up to 32 hours in a pay cycle you HAVE to take a day off since it won't carry over

it is sweet - even when i go on vacation i only use 2 or 3 days of vacation time and mostly use credit!

We get 12 paid holidays (some are floaters)

We start with 3 weeks of vacation at my level and get 1 additional day each time we pass 1/1 up until 25 (I will hit 25 this 1/1). We can carry over up until 10.

We only get 6 sick days, it used to be 10 but, they decreased the amount.

all gvt holidays.

I accrue 4 sick hours every 2 weeks and 6 vacation hours every two weeks, and they carry over into the next year (with a 250 limit on vakay days)

I can also accrue hours through OT to use towards vacation/personal days.

Depending on how many years you've been at the Univ. You start with 1.25 per month for sick and vaction, then it goes up to 1.3, then 1.5, then 1.75 and then I think 2.

Right now, I'm getting 1.5 a month each for sick and vacation.

We have unlimimted paid time off, as long as we don't take off more than 4 weeks in a row and we're on track for our billable hours.

I think we wind up getting 10 days off for holidays (most of the big ones). But I have no idea how much sick or vacation time we get off - it's all irrelevant if you are not making your billable hours.
