Spinoff to the Vendor Post - Would You Pay For an LIF Membership?
Totally random question - Since the economy is in the crapper and more and more companies are cutting back marketing budgets, if it came down to it, would you pay for an "LIF Membership" to keep it alive if it couldn't be supported by advertisers/vendors?
I would  Not sure how much, but I love this site!

Nope sorry.. Ever dollar in this house hold counts.. and Tho LIF has been a great help to me with my dd.. I cant justify spending the cash on it.

Not sure.
If it meant that it was locked down & private - not accessible for anyone without a membership - maybe. Even then they'd lose some members that I do like to see. Part of what I love about the board is the diversity of people posting.

i probably would not have joined initially if i knew i had to pay, kwim...since i have been a member for soo long--that's a different story--i might-if the price was right!!
i think it would deter new people from joining

I don't think so. Actually I used to be a member of another public board for a long time. They were free and all of a sudden last month they decided it wasn't going to be free any more. So I decided I am not going to be a member any more
