Wonder, yes. Worry - no.
Even though no one besides my DH knows I post on here, it's a small world - and like someone else said, all you have to do is type "Long Island" into Google and this site comes up. As LIF grows, the potential that someone you know IRL posts/lurks here and has not revealed themselves to you is increasing.
And it seems to be happening more and more frequently (lurkers causing real life drama)... so over time, I've learned to be more careful about what I post. I try to post under the assumption that someone IS lurking.
However, it's possible that before I came more careful about what I post, I posted things that could bite me in the azz.

I know a person or two on here, an old friend friend from HS and someone who works for my company. Other than those two who I am sure don't really care about my posts...I don't think there is anyone spying on me. However, I don't post anything that could get me in trouble...I don't do anything that could get me in trouble.  But honestly, some things I post I feel embarassed about, but getting it out and receiving the support on here out ways it all.

You know my troubles on here and Im sure it is still going on but you know I dont care anymore- if they are that needy/jealous/insecure/spiteful/stupid etc. then thats their problem.
Im not going to hide or not be myself just b/c of these LOSERS!

I assume that someone I know is reading what I write. It's always on my mind. That way, I don't say anything I'll regret being repeated.
When someone stumbles across this site and finds out someone is talking sh*t about them, that is not a stalker to me. The fault lies with the person doing the talking, not the one who finds it.
In cases where someone goes online with the sole purpose to seek out a person and try to trip them up - ok, that's a stalker.
No matter how they find you, if you're talking about them specifically or someone they know or love, the blame still lies with you.
You would feel the same if someone was talking about you or your loved ones elsewhere on the internet.
Exception is jealous, bitter ex boyfriends or girlfriends of now happily married people.

not really.
most people that know me, even if they didn't like me, would not like my foot lurking up their asss if they tried to use anything I post on here against me.
that being said, I don't post anything on here that I wouldn't own up to or say in person...I save all that for fm's and emails.

Yes. A friend of mine found out I was pregnant before I told her because someone on here recognized my screen name and told her. It wasn't a big deal.
