Spinoff - How do you feel about going to concerts?

Maybe I'm old beyond my years, but I don't really like going to concerts. DH and I have to REALLY LOVE the performer to go.

I really enjoy them when I love the band and I only go when I love the band.

I have to really love the performer. But at the same time, even if I don't and my DH does, I still go with him. We have 6 concerts we're going to this summer.. lots of good artists touring!

I agree. Don't like going. And rarely EVER will I go.
Just not my thing....

I thought I was the only person on the planet though....

I used to love to go when I was younger (high school/college) but now i only go if I really, really love the performer and it's rare that I feel that way.

I used to love to get right in the mosh pit and rock out until i practically blew my eardrums, but now I'm satisfied blasting the radio in my car! Talk about zero to sixty!

I used to go to ANY concert when i was younger, but now with money being tighter I limit it to someone I REALLY like. It's more fun for me when I can sing along so I figure it's a waste if I don't know the music that well.

Although sometimes I get pleasantly surprised after being dragged (ie. last night's Skynyrd and Kid Rock show)

I usually only go to concerts is I REALLY love the performer, but if a bunch of friends were going to see some one that I just liked, I would still go. Concerts are always fun!

I want to say that I would go if I LOVE the performer but that is not entirely true. My favorite singer is Billy Joel but even when I had the opportunity to go see him, I just couldn't bring myself to spend the money!

I rarely if ever go to concerts and can't even remember the last time I did.. though I AM going to see the Wiggles in August (oh yeah I'm taking my DS) so really I hope you all aren't getting TOO jealous now

I like going...but I hate the price of tickets these days. So we don't go to many.

Love going to concerts! I go to a few every month, but they're indie bands so the tickets are pretty cheap. I haven't spend more than $20 on concert tickets since Michael Jackson's Thriller tour.

I'm getting old, though - I always bring earplugs in case it's too loud. But I see a lot of people wearing them these days.

I love going to see bands, but nowadays we don't see too many. I go see lots of new bands, even if I don't know lots of their music, I like to go see new bands. Also, the bands I like to go see don't cost more than about $20 a ticket.

i don't usually enjoy them...

however, i DID go to carrie underwood/keith urban with my sister and 2 friends and we had a great time...i think it was more about the "outing" than the concert.

I LOVE going to U2 concerts! I would go every week if they would put on a show for me every week. I love the energy, the music, the atmosphere, everythng. It's fun & exciting.

I want to see Bon Jovi live but other then these two bands - I don't have a real interest in going to concerts anymore. I almost always enjoyed them but there's not too many worth the price of the tickets these days.

I'm always up for a concert (just came back from JazzFest). I do think we go to too many concerts & should be cutting down to buy gas for my SUV.

if i LOVE the band i LOVE to go.

i used to go no matter who was playing b/c that's just what my friends and i did. it was fun b/c it was loud

now i am much more particular and picky.

i am holding out for chicago tickets
