Spin-off to pawn shop post
I have this gold necklace. It's Xs and hearts and 14k gold. An ex-boyfriend gave it to me, and I haven't worn it in about 8 years. I'd LOVE to sell it, and I know the price of gold is high these days. Should I bring it to a jeweler for an estimate? Try to sell it to the jeweler? Bring it to a pawn shop?
I feel weird trying to sell it, but seriously, it's collecting dust, I'll never wear it, and I might as well get something out of it right?
Any advice welcome. TIA!

i just did this for the first time last month..i had an old necklace from a bf and some random earrings (lost the other and hoped i would find it but never did) i didnt have much at all but got over $100 for it..i went to the attias flea market - there was a vendor there that my aunt and cousin went to and got a lot of money for some old stuff they had.

My FIL has a store there and they might be closing the attias flea market at the end of this month (supposedly its going to become a target).
