Re: Sorry another question...Tell me from start to finish what was the time line for getting into your home

We found our home the week after baby was born (July 14th) & will be in the end of Oct. We got the keys Sept. 21 at the closing.

They said that was generally fast for the closing.

We did everything for the mortgage beforehand, so technically they took pics & did the survey b4 we were even in contract (which is unusual) but it made things go quicker. The title search took a few weeks though.

We"technically" found our house in January, but it was out of our price range.

Price dropped in April and we made an offer.

Offer was accepted on April 23 and we closed with the keys in our hands on June 25

Re: Sorry another question...Tell me from start to finish what was the time line for getting into your home

Found our house 1/12/07...got the keys 3/2/07. Moved in May 20th. (we were in a lease until the end of May)We were looking since October 2006. Put an offer on another house in December...we were outbid. Our closing was superfast because the original contract on our house fell through and the sellers were living out of state by the time we found it.

We found our home at the end of July, closed the 2nd week of September- moved in right away, was totally grossed out (lived there for about a week), moved out, had tons of construction done, and moved back in 2 weeks before Thanksgiving

Re: Sorry another question...Tell me from start to finish what was the time line for getting into your home

We found our house at the end of January, our offer was accepted the next day.

We went into contract in Mid-February and we closed on 3/29 (our on our about date was 3/18).

We moved in on 5/1. We had ended our lease because we expected to close earlier in March and figured all that we wanted to do would be done. We lived without a kitchen until 6/15 (luckily we were away for a couple of trips here and there).

Our house was vacant when we looked at it, the owners had been moved to an assisted living facility the September before. The house was still FSBO, they were planning on listing with a realtor if it didn't sell by 3/1.

Re: Sorry another question...Tell me from start to finish what was the time line for getting into your home

Started really looking January 2007.
Saw house and put in offer on 5/16/07.
Offer accepted same day.
Closed on 7/30/07 (sellers were buying a house out of state so we closed on their schedule as terms of our offer).

Re: Sorry another question...Tell me from start to finish what was the time line for getting into your home

We found it back in April, but weren't ready to buy then. It was still available, so we went back a few months later (around July) and made an offer. We went to contract the first week in August. We closed on September 20th and are moving in on Oct 20th. (We're doing a ton of work on it right now...)

Re: Sorry another question...Tell me from start to finish what was the time line for getting into your home

We looked for 2 years. With the market going up and up during that time we had to keep readjusting what we could afford and how much money we needed. We found the house in Sept. We went to contract in Oct and closed on Dec 9. Moved in late December 20 after we painted.
