so today's my due date
and it looks like it's going to come and go.  I went to the Dr. this morning and nothing has changed since last week. I'm still only a fingertip dilated and only 50% effaced. As of now the plan is to go into the hospital on Wednesday night and then be induced on Thursday. I'm not very happy about it, but I can't do anything to change it. So I just have to deal.

I know you are at your wits end, but stop making yourself crazy about it.... Your little one will make his appearance soon. Enjoy the next few days with your DH. Go out to dinner, see a movie, go for a nice walk together. I promise you once the baby comes you'll crave those special moments alone.

Nicole, I was so hoping to log on today and see that maybe you'd made some progress (or even better had gone into labor!) That said, hang in there and as the other ladies said ENJOY this weekend with your DH. You know that at the latest by next Thurs you will be a Mommy so that is good news 
And maybe in the meantime you'll go into labor on your own, you never know. I was all set for my induction the following Monday but wound up going into labor on my own - hope that is the same for you! 
PS: I had a great experience at White Plains Hospital delivering Nikolas - the labor & delivery nurses in particular are FABULOUS (if you get "Donna" you are in great hands.. she was freakin amazing!) So good luck !

I feel your frustration and I'm still a week away from my due date! But as a mom of a non stop toddler, seriously enjoy these last few days....sleep in, sit around, watch TV, enjoy breakfast and the paper with DH and take a long bath and shave your legs! These things will be long gone in a few days!!

I've had eaten more spicy food in this past week than most humans would even be capable of consuming.
Sunday night- wings
Monday night- pasta with ridiculous amounts of red pepper
Tuesday night- pizza with TONS of red pepper
Wednesday night- chicken strips dunked in hot sauce
Friday lunch- Mexican
Friday night- I'm about to have Szechuan beef
So I don't think the spicy food thing works on my baby.  As for the walking, if I'm not teaching dance you can usually find me walking- so that doesn't seem to work either.

I didn't think spicy food worked on me either. Then I had lamb passanda (an Indian dish) and I was having contractions a few hours latr
