Praying for you. Something similar happened to us, had an ultrasound at 7w5d and doctor said she saw a sac, and thought she saw something in it, but no heartbeat. She thought maybe I wasn't as far as I thought, but I was sure about my dates. Went to the ultrasound place at 8 weeks and there was our little peanut, strong heartbeat and all. Baby was just hiding in a weird spot and the combination of that and the age of our doctors machine meant she couldn't see it.
I hope its the same for you.

My doctor refuses to see anyone before 8 weeks, you are still really early.
Also, if your office is anything like mine - the sono machines are from the year of the flood so they can really miss a lot!

Ok - I want to cry for you right now because I can only imagine what you are feeling BUT - do not give up hope. It is still SO SO early. Most doctors won't even see you until 8 weeks. I know how scared you are right now, but hopefully everything will be fine when you go back on Monday.
I will be thinking about you and praying for you all weekend long!!
