Thank you all SO very much- it means a Great deal to me. The procedure is over and we are home to begin the long road to recovery. It turns out that the amnio was not the only indication that our bean had DS. The doctor today told DH he noticed the abnormal baby head size during the procedure and several other abnormalities. So it was not a decision made in vain. And it confirms that we are not carriers of anything as we had feared but rather this was a major fluke.
I very much hope to be with you all again in the coming months - because the support you encounter on these boards is very wonderful!!!
