Saw my first 2010 Blue and Gold NY license plate
I was driving to work this morning, and noticed what I thought was an out-of-state license plate. When I pulled up next to the car, I realized it was the new blue and gold plate. Not a fan of those colors....

I saw two over the weekend and was curious what the deal was. These weren't new cars either.
ETA: I didn't like them. They don't go with the cars. The blue and white look good on EVERY car, no matter the color.

I saw a one over the weekend and thought that someone has been able to hold on to their plates for a very long time.
I didn't realize that the old ones are new ones again.

I don't like it. I agree that it won't look good on most cars.. not that NYS cares about our cars being color coordinated with the plates, but these are hideous

i don't see the big deal
I happen to think those colors actually make our plates stand out against the car and be noticed
and i like how they're a throwback to the older ones.
