you should watch "media Malpractice". I don't think she's as dumb as she's been made out to be...but ya know a president who has traveled to 57 states in the U.S...now THAT is impressive...and incredibly informed might I add.

Im sorry Palin is misinformed and ingnorant and should NEVER have been running for any political office... The C word doesnt bother me, to each is own...
In regards to Rush Limbaugh, hes out of his mind... This is the same man who said drug addicts should be prosucuted to the fullest extent of the law and had an entire irrational rant about it...
THEN BAM it came out he was a drug addict!!!!!! And he didnt want to go to jail... So the double standards are ridiculous with this man. Hes clearly ignorant, irrational and not very iniformed about how the world works...

she does pussyfoot around certain things and I'm not saying she was ready or right for presidency AT ALL. but as far as misspeaking...the quote that gets brought up so often and even Obama poked fun at her for it is the comment about seeing russia...it was turned into a joke by SNL misquoting her as saying "I can see russia from my home" but she actually said "you can see russia from land here in Alaska...which is True. They ARE next door neighbors in a way. alot of the rest of it is beating around the bush. but c'mon...a person running for president saying he's been to 57 states??? thats not just misspeaking...that's SCARY!

I'm not holding Bill Mahr up as a saint or a good guy. I found his take on the POS Rush Limbaugh, who characterized someone as a prostitute & a slut very relevant & humorous. Rush Limbaugh seems to have no sense of how birth control is used. Rush Limbaugh calling someone else a slut (for doing no more than testifying for getting oral contraception approved) - when he has shown to be a hypocritical pig himself.
As for using the word C U N T, while I'm not a fan of it - being a C U N T is a subjective term. Being a prostitute is NOT. It's slander (unless of course, you are a prostitute).

Just to clarify.. : Rush is an A hole to the utmost degree....BUT
FORGET for a second the particular woman. think about it.. A MAN in the media with some sort of following calling a woman a SLUT... and a man in the media with some sort of following calling a wman a C U N T..... HOW IN GOD'S NAME is that NOT the same!!!! How are people not outraged about BOTH!!!! Forget for a second if you like the women or not.. would you feel any differently if a man called you are your daughter a slut vs. a C u N t????
Im really upset by this.....coming from intelligent women.. BOTH SHOULD BE OUTRAGED!!

At least he appologized last time I checked not one person on the left has ever apologized for the disgusting things they say about conservative women. And its not even sarah palin being called a c you next tuesday they have said nasty.disgusting things about michele bachmann, megyn kelly ect. So yes its def a double standard.

Both men were very much in the wrong. It sounds so horrible and degrading to have a person be called these names. You don't make yourself seem smart, you seem extreme and unprofessional. Women should not stand to be called names like this (especially in a public media forum), it's sad.

But this conversation/thread is about RUSH LIMBAUGH not about having Bill Maher say Sarah Palin is a C*NT.
if you want a thread about how wrong Bill Maher was to call Sarah Palin on that, I'm right there with you. But again, that term - while offensive & not one that I agree with - is an opinion.
Don't get me wrong, I have very little respect for a presidential candidate that has a platform based on quips. On the other hand, I have no issue with bashing Rick Santorum on his quotes either. Bill Maher did a disservice to the left when he stooped to name calling versus the issues. Then again, I'd say that about anyone who does it.
