Restaurant with private room for 75 people in Nassau or Queens?
Does anyone have a recommendation for a Saturday afternoon Christening party for about 75 people?
The Christening will be at St. John's University in Queens, but we are willing to go into Nassau too, since we live in Levittown.
We were originally planning for Italian food, but we're flexible, as long as its good food and not too expensive.

I would try Luigi's Restaurant (Union Turnpike) They have a nice back room. I held my son's Baptism at Punta Dura Restaurant in Astoria (lots of space, pretty and great food)

The Milleridge inn has several private rooms. My Mom hosted my bridal shower there and we had a very nice room.

I had my engagement party at the Whitehouse in Whitestone. We had over 100 people, the food was great!
*It looks kind of dingy from the outside just so you know.
ETA: I am pretty sure the Sly Fox INN on union TPK can accommodate that many people.

Thank you! I will look into these.
We were originally planning for Domenico's but it is booked already. I hadn't thought about Luigi's - love that place!!
I'll look into the others as well.

I'm not sure if the backroom at Luigi's can hold 75. We just had a baby shower there for my friend with 40 people and it was tight. You would probably need the main dining area.
I just booked Piccola Bussola for my sister's bridal shower. They have great prices and a decent size room.

Verdi's in Whitestone they have two different room options. Their food id wonderful and the prices are fair.

closed about a year ago .... the city is supposed to be opening a new place--but so far it looks like nothing is going on....

Thank you, everyone! Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated, as well.
The baptism is booked for May 1, so I can't seem to find any place that is available because of all the Communions in May. We may need to change dates with the church...
