Recent emergence of seperation anxiety...only with mommy

So what am I doing wrong? He is so happy when he is in school/daycare. DH rarely drops him off because of his work schedule, but when he does drop him off, DS is fine. When I drop him off he has an all out fit! I've tried about everything I could think of: staying a little longer, cuddling a little more, extra encouragement, sneaking out of the room (which I absolutely despise since we dont get to say goodbye to each other and I feel like I am being sneaky), ignoring the tantrums. I am obviously doing something wrong, because he doesn't do this with DH, just with me. If he cries he is fine a minute after I leave. So, what am I doing wrong? How can I fix this? I hate leaving this way with him crying and me feeling like I am doing the wrong things and making it harder on him. Help

were u a sahm when he was little? my 3yr old DD is extremely attached to me she bugs out when i leave the room!
eta: she is not like that with my hubby
