Raymour Flanigan, Levitz, Macys...
Hi Ladies,
What are your thoughts on Macy's Furniture, Raymour Flanigan, and Levitz? Please tell me your experiences or experiences of someone you know.....
OR do you recommend any other stores?
We are closing on hour house soon and we need furniture for EVERY ROOM!

we've bought furniture from Levitz when we first bought our house. IMO the sales people are sleazy. I did not like how I was "stalked" around the store while browsing.
I had a great experience buying our bedroom set from Raymour and Flannigan. We were not followed around and did not feel pressured to buy anything at anytime. We had a problem with the delivery, but it was resolved quickly and they knocked the delivery charge off for our inconvience. I would go to them again in a heartbeat.

I also used Raymour and Flanigan and was happy with everything. Delivery was great..and they charge a flat fee regardless of how many things you have delivered. We bought two room with of furntiture and they still only charged us the flat fee. They also negotiated price with us, which was agreat. I found Levitz to have the same stuff but more expensive.
Good luck...
I think Raymour and Flanigan is having a dining room sale if you need that.

Macy's Furniture Center in Carle Place has very nice furniture. You can even get good deals in the clearance center toward the rear of the store.

We ordered couches from Raymour & Flanigan. We haven't closed yet so no delivery yet but so far so good.

We bought our dining room from Levitz and I love it! I don't remember anything about the customer service though because it was a few years ago. Sorry!

We bought our bedroom set at R&F and had no problems. Would definitely buy there again.

We had a problem with delivery from Levitz, they called the morning they were supposed to deliver our couch and loveseat and said that they didn't have any couches in stock and they would just be delivering the loveseat. Umm, don't you have a computerized system so you can know ahead of time.
IMO, Levitz is lesser quality furniture too.

we bought our bedroom furniture and living room furniture from macy's. they have been great and the quality is really good. they also have a 7 year warranty

My couch and coffee table came from Levitz. The delivery guys were awesome. They had to carry the couch two blocks because my street was being repaved. They were still really friendly and very quick.
My bedroom set came from Raymour & Flannigan. The quality is good, and I'm happy with the set, but I didn't like being stalked from the second we walked in the store. Sometimes you just want to look around in peace.

The only one I have had experience with is Levitz. I love my furniture, but, had the most difficult time with customer service. My couch came with a damaged arm and needed to be replaced. After 4 months, 2 no-show deliveries and 2 deliveries with more damaged furniture, I had enough. I, finally, received a couch in perfect condition after I threatened a lawsuit. This was 9 nine years and my furniture still looks like new. After paying what I did, you think they would have been a little more cooperative. I wouldn't shop there again.

We had the best experience with Fortunoff... we also ordered from JCPenney online... the delivery was the worst experience EVER... they were HORRIBLE... and we got a lot of stuff from the Pottery Barn outlet...

We had a similar experience with our entertainment center. I won't step foot in the store again either.

I totally agree. I think the quality is a lot better at Raymour & Flanigan than Levitz. R & F has name brands like Lane, Broyhill, etc......Levitz does not. Definitely a lower quality at Levitz.

I actually recommend Stanley's furniture in Patchogue, they will BEAT any price.
We went to a store and then went there and they were so helpful, they asked us if we saw anything we liked somewhere else and we described the bedroom set and they were able to rder it for $700 cheaper

We bought two sofas at Macys and are thrilled. Our salesman also made it possible for us to get the 0% financing deal even though our $ amt didn't qualify. Overall great experience.
Hate Levits and I will never shop there again.
Went in R&F once and liked the stuff but didn't buy anything.

We had a great experience with Levitz... delivery guys came early in the morning and everything was in perfect condition. We got our couch and bedroom set from them about 2 yrs ago and we have no complaints.
