Quiet here these days

No complaints Or dare I say praise for handling of Harvey?
No conspiracy theory of why he donated a million dollars to Harvey recovery?
Nothing on bypassing the GOP to make a deal with Democrats on the debt ceiling?

Nothing?

Re: Quiet here these days

The fact that he made the Harvey hurricane all about him?
The fact that he lied about "first-hand" experience of the storm damage?
The fact that he's promised to donate millions of dollars over the past several decades, but reneged on pretty much all of them? Where are the receipts of the donations?
The fact that he pledged $5 million for Obama's birth certificate, but only $1 million to help people in desperate need?
The fact that many other rich people donated $1 million or more, but didn't make as big a deal about as he did?
The fact that it looks like he's trying to make that donation through his "charity" fund, and not his personal funds?
The fact that he's proven that he's a horrible negotiator? He didn't even try to bargain anything. He caved into what the Dems asked for. Personally, I'm glad he's a terrible negotiator, but that's not what he was elected for...

And, what's the point?... You'll take each of my points and say something about "Nothing is ever good enough", "He's doing a great job", "You can never give him credit for anything", etc.

He's a horrible leader, a horrible negotiator, a horrible person, a horrible president, and doing the bare minimum in a natural disaster is nothing to brag about.

I can only speak for myself of course (although I know at least some others are doing the same) but we are awake and busy resisting.

You always like to point out that you think others are starting posts just to be negative so it's really the height of hypocrisy for you to do the same.

And other than some of the memes that provide comic relief from everything that's going on I don't think there's anything funny about any of this but whatever floats your boat.

Actually I feel sorry for you if this page is your entertainment.

You obviously missed the sarcasm of my original post. I am surprised that there aren't 100 threads on Melania wearing heels on the plane o fly to Texas. And finding fault in every little thing.

There is nothing negative in this post. I was just pointing out that there was no conversation about a lot of important things lately. Many of which I think have been handled well.

Don't feel sorry for me. The comedy comes from the fact that you (the collective you) can't possible see any good in this administration because you hate this man.

Really? Nothing negative? Here's your negativity: you say there has been no positive conversation lately so instead of creating an intelligent post stating what you thought has been handled well you provoke people and say it entertains you. How exactly is that positive?

why not start a post about the good he is doing a real post not what you wrote here.

I for one though I am not a fan of trump would love to see the good stuff he is doing; It would maybe make me feel a little better that he isn't destroying the whole nation Chat Icon

I refuse to be like a majority of people I know who were against obama that no matter what that man did they would find negative in him.

Like I said in my other post if he is doing good things I would like to see that but just because he he is doesn't mean it negates all the other stuff I am not OK with that he has done.

I heard that Hitler was really good to his pet dog. Let's ignore all those other things, and just focus on this one tiny "good" detail....

If 99% of what you do is bad, you don't get a trophy for the 1% of good things you do. Especially when the "good" is questionable....

No positives. I am completely side-eyed and skeptical of the "deal" with Pelosi and Schumer. It's like the husband who wants a flucking trophy because he does laundry. You're not getting a biscuit because you suck at everything else. Too jaded, too sad, too angry.

You forgot all the wonderful Autobahns Hitler built and the wonderful things he did for animal laws in Germany. He did kill his dog with cyanide, so there's that.

But, yeah, this doesn't erase what idiotic stuff 45 did up until now.

My issue is that i never ever hear a Trump supporter criticize him or question him. Is he like God to you? Or can you or any of his followers ever admit and come out and say you arent happy with some specific decision or action? This is what worries me the most about our division and our country

We may point out the negatives because there are too many. But why dont you ever admit to negatives??

All i ever see from Trump fans is oh but Obama, Hillary, the emails the snowflakes the liberals etc.

Most die-hard trump supporters remind me of parents of 2 year olds....

Yes, he throws tantrums, breaks everything around him, can't speak very well, and cries a lot, but he can't help it, and we love him very much. Just like toddler parents, trump supporters will come up with any excuse as to why what he did is OK. "It's just a phase"... "He didn't mean it"... "He's still learning..." "But he's mine, so I have to love him unconditionally..."

Even the GOP does it...

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/trump-conservatives-paul-ryan-fault_us_59b1c937e4b0354e4410bd4a?ncid=inblnkushpmg00000009

President Donald Trump made a bad deal for Republicans on the debt limit and government funding, and, according to House conservatives, that’s Speaker Paul Ryan’s fault.
...
A day after Trump surprised his own party by taking the first offer from congressional Democrats to raise the debt ceiling and continue government spending for three months, many House conservatives have decided that House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wisc.) is ultimately to blame for Trump’s impulsive deal.

“Lack of preparation leads to poor choices, and the fact that we weren’t here ? and you heard me say this the other night ? we weren’t here for six weeks, the longest non-election-year break we’ve had in a decade,” former Freedom Caucus Chairman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) said Thursday, “that’s a problem.”
...

It's Ryan's fault that THE GREAT NEGOTIATOR made what most of party thinks is a terrible deal? No, there are no excuses. HE made the decision completely on his own. He probably got bored with the meeting since it was longer than 10 minutes, and just caved and took whatever was offered. He has a history of making terrible deals, and not negotiating. Hold his feet to they fire and call him out on it. If the GOP thinks it was a horrible deal, they should say so publicly. No, they're all too afraid to say anything that might make mr grumpypants upset....

We currently have no government. We have no Executive branch, and the Legislative branch is too scared and in-fighting to do anything. The Judicial branch is busy shooting down all of trumps illegal and unconstitutional EOs.

Well, this is one way of giving more power to the States. They have no choice. Mommy and Daddy are too busy fighting with each other to pay the bills, make decisions, and do what they need to, so the kids have to be the adults and take care of things.

I never said the man is a God. I have said his tweeting is ridiculous, but admit I am not on Twitter so I don't see most of it. I am disappointed that tax reform is not further along but am hopeful that it is even on his radar because it needs to be done. I would like to see Obama care fixed and was hoping that would be further along as well but that isn't a 100% on him. I think him making a deal with Democrats on this is a sign he isn't being driven just by his Republican party and that is a good thing. I am not a registered Republican. I vote on issues. I can admit the man is FAR from perfect. I have felt that way about most presidents.

What I find funny about this board is that there is such a hatred for this man that no matter what, nothing will be seen as good. The man gave a m million of his own money and one of the responses was that it was only 1 million when he gave more to dig up Obama's birth certificate (I don't know if that is true or not) but who cares? He gave a lot of money to help people. "Other celebrities gave that much or more and didn't make a big deal of it." I don't know that he made a big deal of it. I saw it as a blip in the news. If he had given nothing people woukd have been all over him.

You say why can't I point out the negatives, I could say why can't you point out a podrive. I don't even think people have to agree on positive or negatives. The reason this board is so one sided is because if you say something is positive you are compared to a Hitler support, considered a neo-nazi etc.

Re: Quiet here these days

You say he gave a million, so that's good. I'm going by his repeated history. Countless times (actually, many people HAVE been counting...), he promised to give money, but never did. He talks a big game, but never follows through. Until there is PROOF that he donated, I'm assuming he did the same thing he's done over and over again.... "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me."

If a man does the same thing for decades, I'm going with his repeated history of ACTIONS. I'm not going to believe his words, which have been proven to be lies the majority of the time.

It's the same as me saying "I pledge to give 100 Billion dollars". My history has shown that I won't follow through on that, but would you believe me just because I said it, even though my actions have shown that I won't follow through? Where's my trophy for throwing out hollow words?

So you can prove the $5 mil he spent trying to get Obama's birth certificate? Or whatever money celebrities say they have donated?

If a man does the same thing for decades, I'm going with his repeated history of ACTIONS. I'm not going to believe his words, which have been proven to be lies the majority of the time.

It's the same as me saying "I pledge to give 100 Billion dollars". My history has shown that I won't follow through on that, but would you believe me just because I said it, even though my actions have shown that I won't follow through? Where's my trophy for throwing out hollow words?

So you can prove the $5 mil he spent trying to get Obama's birth certificate? Or whatever money celebrities say they have donated?

Yes, there has been proof of other people who promised to donate money, that they actually did. Maybe not documentation yet for the Harvey donations, since it's so current, but these people have a documented history of donating what they promise. The charities that were promised the money have records of it. That's how there is proof that trump hasn't been donating, because the charities that he promised money to have no records of any money coming in from him.

He never spent $5 million for Obama's "secret" BC. It's something he "promised" to give, but even if he got what he wanted, he wouldn't have paid it... He also knew that there wasn't a BC from Kenya, so he knew he wouldn't have to pay anyway.

I'm also not giving out trophies and congratulations for other people donating money.
