Question for dog owners...
Do you have your dog wear their collar at all times, or just when they're outside?

All the time. Ever since my hosue got broken into & I came home to find my dogs all running around outside of their crates I realized how easily they could have gotten out of the house
ETA: They are also all chipped

OMGOSH! That's terrible!!!!!!!!
We had the option of turning on Cooper's chip, but we didn't find it necessary.
I just asked about the collar because I tend to keep Coop's off when we're home because it look so uncomfortable (even though it's loose enough for the finger test)... FH doesn't get it, but I was just curious about what other people do.

Misty doesn't wear a collar in the house or backyard - she's always supervised. She does have an activated microchip though.
She definitely wears a collar with a name tag and rabies tag when we go out.
ETA: I started taking her collar off in the house cuz it was rubbing away her fur.

ALWAYS! You never know what can happen-our gas company broke our gate and my dogs got out. My older guy came home on his own. Younger guy got picked up by the pound!

Only outside. I worry about this but honestly, they play a lot together and I am terrified they would hurt each other. Both are microchipped. I do worry about this.

Only when we go for walks with the leash. He's microchipped and always supervised when running in the (fenced in) yard. Otherwise, he doesn't ever wear a collar.

We take his collar off at night when he goes to beddie-bye. Otherwise it is always on.
I let him in the yard one day and I have no idea how but the gate was open. Fortunately he was in the front yard, but what if he had run away???

Boogie is microchipped
and he wears his collar at all times, except at night when we are sleeping- only because he can't stand it-for some reason it really bothers him, but I know how important it is, so in the AM it goes right on!

Bella wears hers during the day if we are home. When she has to go into the crate we take it off. We also take it off at night because I can't stand the jingling sound of her tags when we are sleeping.

Only outside, whenever she walks out the door, even just in our backyard. It drives her crazy indoors, so I don't make her wear it all the time. I may in the future though. We've been discussing this lately actually.

My two little ones only wear harnesses when we walk them. When they're outside, they are gated (and the yard is puppy-proofed) and they don't wear anything. They don't wear anything in the house, either.
Bell and Lex are both chipped as well.
