Question about winter coats and car seats
Do you take your DC coat off in the car before you buckle him/her in the car seat? These coats seem so bulking and warm.

I'm curious about this, too. I read that you're not supposed to have anything bulky between the child and the car seat. It was easy when he was an infant -- I just put the blanket over him, but I'm wondering what people do with toddlers. It seems really impractical to be taking a child's coat off on a freezing day just as you put him into the car.

My DS is only 6 months, so this is his first Fall/Winter, but I think I'm going to have to take off his coat, because he is such a hot, sweaty little guy!! Even when I put a sweatshirt or light rain jacket on him and put him in the car seat, when I take him out, he is soaked in sweat!! He's still in infant car seat, so I think I can get away with bundle me this year.

No, I leave Julia's on. I just adjust the staps, the car would be to cold to take her jacket off right away. Plus I don't like my car blasting with heat.....
